Kryolan Faceliner in Shade 36 Review

Today, I’ll be reviewing Kryolan Faceliner in shade 36. I own the Faceliner in shade 35 and I found it to be my perfect MLBB shade. I picked 35 initially because I thought 36 would wash out dusky skin tones. Later, I caught myself thinking that I could use 36 with other darker shades to balance it out. So, I walked into the store two days later and bought this shade to keep my heart at peace. Read on to find out if it really suits only the fairer complexion or not.

My Experience with Kryolan Faceliner in Shade 36:

The Faceliner is a wooden pencil that has to be sharpened. It is much more longer when compared to the other eye or lip pencils in the market, which means that it will last a lot longer too. It comes in a smart navy blue packaging with a silver cap which is not at all like the conventional Kryolan packaging. Since, this pencil is long and quite different in packaging, I almost guarantee you’d never lose it. It is just not the kind of size that gets lost in the stash. 😛

The other lip liners that are available in the market seem overpriced, but the price of this one is totally justified for the quantity that we get. The pencil glides smoothly on the lips without tugging or pulling. It is not hard to draw and the texture is creamy enough to not settle into fine lines. I prefer using a chapstick or a lip balm underneath the pencil, since I find it a little bit drying.

The shade is a light, natural pink. It might wash out dark skin tones, but will look good on fair and dusky skin tones. It looks fairly good on me and I don’t feel the need to balance the shade with any darker color. I use this every day and what I love the most about it is that there is minimal wastage of product while sharpening.

Verdict:

I was quite skeptical before buying this shade, but it is surely not a miss. While dark skin tones can skip this, it is worth a try for the dusky and fair skin tones. Would love to buy more shades from this range.
