Weekends make a great opportunity to experience some ‘me’ time where I spend time surfing through IMBB as well as attempt writing a few reviews. I really enjoyed writing so often during my college days and I definitely miss that! Well, this new life is making me write lesser than before but that doesn’t make me any less passionate about makeup. That’s that, now let’s get to the review of L’Oreal Rose Grenat Color Riche Lipstick.

My Experience with L’Oreal Rose Grenat Color Riche Lipstick:
Packaging: Love the gold tube a lot; made out of sturdy plastic with a shimmery gold finish which looks classy. The metal part in the middle which separates the cap has the brand name embossed. It is nice to carry around and show off during touch ups. The shade name is mentioned with a color-coded sticker at the bottom. The sticker also has a little glitter on it indicating it is a shimmery lipstick. Loved the detailing. 😀
Shade: “Rose Grenat” is a pretty soft warm pink. The color is really pleasing and looks natural on me. I did know it was a sheer and thin finish lipstick. It contains gold shimmers. That’s not the worst part – the worst part is that the shimmers are very noticeable and they do not just add to the sheen. They are a little over the top and get left behind as the color fades and travel all over. Personally, I do not prefer such products.
Texture and Pigmentation: I am a big time L’Oreal fan, especially when it comes to lipsticks. Their formula has worked for me (well, most of the times). I love this lipstick’s formula too – it’s very smooth and buttery indeed. The shimmers don’t feel gritty at all. It glides on lips easily without them being prepped. It doesn’t highlight dryness. Pigmentation is also very good. Two swipes and you’re done! However, it bleeds if you layer too much and also feathers a bit.
Lasting Power: This being a creamy lipstick – transfers a lot, but not to a great extent. Yes, it stains all my coffee mugs and spoons but I can find the color still on my lips. It doesn’t survive meals though. The shimmers get left behind creating a mess by traveling all over my face, which is a total turn off for me. It lasts for about 3 hours max which is below average. Sometimes I blot it, but even that doesn’t work because of the shimmers.
Overall, this was not a good buy for me since I am just nearly satisfied with it. If you like shimmer in lipsticks, you might actually like this lipstick.

If you prefer shimmery lipsticks, then this would be a good choice for everyday wear. I don’t think I like this that much because of some flaws, but the color is definitely pretty.
