Marks and Spencer Coconut Body Polish Review

Marks and Spencer Coconut Body Polish Review

Hi people,

Here is another quick review of a product from Marks and Spencer. This is a body polish which basically means a gentle body scrub. I received it as a gift from a friend who returned from UK recently. While I love how it smells, I am not too happy with the fact that the scent fades away right after the bath. Why do good things leave so quickly? 😉

Marks and Spencer Coconut Body Polish

Product Description:

Originally from the tropics, ground coconut shell is a natural exfoliator, its fibrous properties make it an excellent skin polisher.

How To Use:

Squeeze into palms of hands and gently smooth onto skin, use circular movements to ensure maximum exfoliation. Rinse well and gently pat skin dry.

My Experience with Marks and Spencer Coconut Body Polish:

It is good and I like it. This is what I would say about it in simple words. I don’t find it extraordinary. The granules are fine in a cream base so that makes it gentle for the skin though I would prefer something less gentler for a body polish. The consistency is a little runny, so it won’t last for months. If used daily, I can finish it off in less than a month.

It doesn’t scrub away the dead skin on the body as the granules are very tiny and too gentle for the body, but it does give a nice sheen and that is because it contains oil and makes the skin look moisturized.

It smells good of coconut. I like coconut smell so I like its smell too, but sadly, the smell doesn’t linger on after the bath. It vanishes as soon as you towel dry yourself.

Packaging is okay, just like all other normal tubes. I have been using it on and off for a month now. The pictures were taken weeks before. Overall, I like it but I don’t find it extraordinary given the price tag it carries along.

It is quite similar to Organic Surge’s body polish in many ways. This one is less runny than that and this makes it a little better than Organic Surge body polish though in my opinion, I think Oriflame’s body scrub is the best!

Pros of Marks and Spencer Coconut Body Polish:

  • Gentle on the skin (though for me it is a con as I prefer salt scrubs for body).
  • Smells good.
  • Quite moisturizing.

Cons of Marks and Spencer Coconut Body Polish:

  • Smell goes away right after you towel dry.
  • Does not scrub away dead skin as it is very gentle on the skin.
  • I find it expensive in comparison to its quality

IMBB Rating:

3/5

Do I Recommend Marks and Spencer Coconut Body Polish?

This would be very good for sensitive skin people and for good use in winters. For normal skin people and in summers, not so great!
