Montagne Jeunesse is a brand familiar to most of us. With their sachet masks they have been quite famous and today’s review is about Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Coffee Mocha Mud Masque.

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Coffee Mocha Mud Masque:
Coffee is rich in anti-oxidants and we have been using coffee powder in our daily regime. I am not a coffee drinker but I am a big fan of the coffee smelling masks and when I saw this mask, I picked it up right away.
The mask comes in a sachet and the contents are enough for using 2 times on neck and face liberally or thrice when applied on face and till throat. Considering the size and the sleek look of the sachet, the product is travel friendly and I love carrying these on my trips. The mask is light brown with pink hue and has tiny coffee grains for exfoliating your face. You don’t have to use a scrub as this mask acts as a mild exfoliator too! The smell is that of a mocha latte and I love the smell.
The mask is easy to apply and spreads quickly. There are tiny coffee granules so be a little careful around the eyes. The mask also dries quickly and can be washed off with a mild massage so that the granules present can exfoliate the skin. The mask is for oily and combination skin and not for dry skinned beauties. The mask claims to gently exfoliate the skin and also cleanse the pores. It takes around 10 minutes to dry and after washing, it has to be immediately followed up with a moisturizer. The mask dries the skin and thus if you have dry skin, this can be quite irritating. I have combination skin and I felt stretched skin so I can imagine how it feels for dry skin.
On application, within 1-2 minutes, it started feeling ‘hot’ on my face; it was mild but it was like I was having a high fever all of a sudden but it subdued within few minutes and this happened both the times I applied this mask, I am not sure why. Before washing off the mask, I dampened my face and gently massaged the granules and washed off with plain cold water. The face looked brighter and the dead skin was removed and the skin was exfoliated but it didn’t remove those black/whiteheads that grow under your lips or near the corner of the nose.
The face looked fresh and bright but like I mentioned the skin started stretching out and felt dry within 30 seconds as it has clay. I understand that this apt for oily skinned beauties. Considering the fact that the company hasn’t claimed anything apart from the exfoliating and cleaning the pores, the mask has nothing else to offer. After moisturization the skin felt soft, hydrated and rejuvenated. So summing up:

• Dries the skin after washing.
• Heats up the skin for a few seconds, I do not know why.
• Doesn’t remove blackheads or whiteheads.
• No special benefits other than gentle exfoliation and cleansing.
• Not suitable for all skin types.
