Oriflame Giordani Gold Mineral Therapy Foundation Review
After reading positive reviews about Giordani range in Oriflame, I decided to try the foundation, which is so much raved about. In this month’s catalogue of Oriflame, they have introduced a new kind of foundation named Giordani Gold Mineral Therapy Foundation. I had to try it since it was out on introductory discount. Here’s the review.
WHAT THE CATALOGUE SAYS ABOUT ORIFLAME GIORDANI GOLD MINERAL THERAPY FOUNDATION:
Luminous mineral foundation with revitalizing sea minerals for a brighter complexion when you wear it and when you take it off.
PRICE: Rs. 990 for 30 mL, since it was on discount, it is at 690, but I got it a price of Rs. 552 ☺.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
A LITTLE INFO ABOUT FURCELLARIA LUMBRICALIS: Furcellaria lumbricalis typically grows on rock and stones in the shallow subtidal to a depth of 20 m on sheltered or moderately exposed coasts. It also occurs in rockpools in the eulittoral and down to 30 m or more in clear water. The holdfast is often covered by coarse, sandy deposits. Species is of true marine origin but tolerates low salinity down to 3-4 psu.
Furcellaria Lumbricalis, the Swedish red algae, softens and revives dehydrated skin, locking in moisture. The algae dries out and blackens when the tide recedes but it survives the dry conditions until the sea returns. This is because it contains Furcellaran, a polysaccharide which helps to prevent moisture loss.
MY TAKE ON ORIFLAME GIORDANI GOLD MINERAL THERAPY FOUNDATION:
Giordani mineral therapy comes in a see-through glass bottle with a press-cap. Although there is nothing fitted on the press-cap, there is no leakage. The foundation itself is a medium consistency non-fragrant liquid. This foundation comes in a limited 4 shades. There is Porcelain, Light Ivory, Natural Beige, and Golden Beige. I chose the Golden Beige because there was no other shade darker than this. Choosing foundation shade from catalogue can be tricky, but for me it has always hit bull’s eye. I have found my exact shades in Duo Core Foundation and now with this through catalogue shopping. Rather, I found swatching the shades in the store with the help of SA much more trickier and futile.
Although, the foundation bottle seems big and large in the catalogue, it is no more bigger than my inner palm.
After moisturizing my face thoroughly, I dotted my face with the foundation and it spread on nicely giving me a medium coverage. But, most important thing to remember is that you cannot skip the moisturization part even in summers, otherwise, it appears cracky. Once, I set it with the compact, the foundation was all set. Remarkably, the foundation does not transfer itself when you are touching up or applying compact. Staying power is good, even in hot weather, it stays up to a good 3 to 4 hours. Also, it does not cause excessive sweating of the face and does not weigh heavily on the skin.
Most importantly, this foundation is non-comedogenic and non-clogging, hence no problem of acne and breakouts.

- A lightweight foundation, which glides smoothly on to the skin.
- Does not weigh down the skin.
- Gives medium coverage.

- Does brighten the face and there is a luminous glow that the foundation imparts to the skin.
- Does not appear chalky.

CONS OF ORIFLAME GIORDANI GOLD MINERAL THERAPY FOUNDATION:
- Limited shades in the catalogue.
- Adequate moisturization is a must even in hot weather.
- Price is just a bit on the higher side.
WILL I REPURCHASE IT AGAIN: Yes, but it should be on offer price, I won’t be buying it at the original price of Rs. 990.
IMBB STAR RATING: 3/5….-1 for the moisturizing it needs even in summers and another -1 for the price.

jomolll m glad u asked .. though i dont like to share my secrets but since you have so much of golod , you are a deserving candidate .. i think O:)
i make my own shampoo, it has the goodness of gou mutra, duck and frog poop in 2:3 ratio, and i also mix some cow saliva for better conditioning. this is because i have oily scalp, if you have dry scalp n hair i can make some changes in the source and quantity of saliva to cater to your needs ..
