Rahua Body Shower Gel Review

Skin type: dry normal

Hello friends,

Hope all of you are doing great! I am here to share another travel-friendly purchase with you all which does seem pricey. I am impressed with this SLS free and organic bath product, though. Doesn’t it always feel like an achievement when you discover a natural or organic product that you actually like? I usually prefer hoarding travel-friendly makeup products because I get easily bored and such products help me clean up my vanity from time to time. Let’s read more about Rahua Body Shower Gel.

Price: $8.50 for 2 Fl Oz and $30 for 9 Fl Oz
Product Description:
What it is:
An organic shower gel that gently yet thoroughly cleanses skin while delivering essential moisture.
What it is formulated to do:
Scented with the signature Palo Santo scent—featuring notes of lavender, eucalyptus, and vanilla bean—this Shower Gel transforms your regular routine into an uplifting aroma-therapeutic experience. It gently cleanses skin and removes dirt and dead cells without stripping the skin of its natural oils. Infused with signature rahua ungurahua oil, quinoa, and sacha inchi (omegas 3 and 9), skin is nourished with moisture needed for the day ahead.
Ingredients:
Water, Herbal Infusion Of Hibiscus Sabdariffa Extract*, Arnica Montana Flower Extract*, And Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract*, Coco Betaine, Sodium Chloride (Sea Salt), Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract*, Caprylic Acid, Bursera Graveolens (Palo Santo) Oil, Oenocarpus Bataua (Ungurahua) Oil, Sacha Inchi Oil (Plukenetia Volubilis), Hydrolyzed Quinoa, Lavandula (Lavender) Officinalis Oil, Glycerin, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate (Plant Derived). *Organic.

My Experience with Rahua Body Shower Gel:

The shower gel comes in a travel-friendly, light-weight and see through plastic bottle packaging with a flip top cap. It does have strong spa kind of fragrance which might be bothersome to sensitive noses; it isn’t sweet, floral but typical herbal aroma. I am fine with the smell as it does not linger post shower.

The shower gel has bit runny consistency and appears translucent yellow. It does not form intense lather (pretty explainable due to the absence of sulphates) but it forms enough foam to cleanse our body in one go. I just need 1-2 generous drops of the gel on bath loofah to form decent foam. It quickly rinses off with lukewarm water without leaving any tacky or sticky residue on my skin, though. I feel quite refreshed, awake and clean post-shower.

Oh yes, I do experience a mild cooling sensation in the shower and the refreshing feel is quite comforting to my senses. I have never felt dryness or the need to follow up with a body lotion as this shower gel does not feel overly drying on my skin. I have a pretty normal dry body skin type which tends to become drier in winters, but hats off this shower gel, it is way mild on my skin. Needless to say, it is apt for the humid hot weather, considering it offers a cooling refreshing sensation, which also prevents body odour at times.

To sum it up for you, it certainly does not feel like an intensely creamy and foaming luxurious shower gel. It is something people with active lifestyle would prefer to use post activity for refreshment. In fact, my husband has started using it post gym as it gears up his senses and he has started to recognise this product from a pool of products.

I would definitely recommend this shower gel to every skin type, though beauties with drier skin type may need to follow up with a body lotion. Personally, except the price factor, I feel there is nothing disappointing about this product. I would like to try another variant from the same brand next time, though.
