Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Review

Hello Gals,

Rs. 375 for 125 ml.

Packaging:

It comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a flip open cap and it has a small hole which dispenses the liquid.

Fragrance:

For me, it was neutral smell nothing fussy.

My Experience with Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:

Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover comes in easy to use packaging and it is spill-proof as well, so a great option to carry while you are travelling. The liquid inside the bottle looks like water and it is not bi-phased. The consistency is runny, again just like water. If care is not taken, the liquid comes running out in excess. Also, since it is a water consistency liquid, a lot of product is required and it will get over faster.

The liquid does not sting the eyes. I have sensitive eyes which get watery very quickly; it didn’t happen with this makeup remover. The makeup remover isn’t 100% effective in the first swipe. It needs multiple swipes to remove all the traces of makeup and it requires more efforts with waterproof masacara. I suggest holding the cotton on the eyes steady for a few seconds before swiping it across the eyes. This will help in melting the makeup faster and thereby avoiding the need to swipe it multiple times.

In India, I have mostly seen bi-phased makeup removers at this price range. The oil-free ones are mostly very costly and high end. So, for the price it is definitely a winner for me.

Pros of Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:

  • Does not sting the eyes.
  • Oil –free.
  • Removes makeup effectively.
  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Price.

Cons of Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:

  • Not very effective for removing waterproof mascara.
  • Will get used up quickly.
  • Limited availability.

Would I Repurchase Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover?

Yes! Definitely!

I’ve been using Oriflame Beauty All-over Make-up Remover and I like it very much. I don’t think I need any other product.
