Faces Canada Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

As I mentioned in my previous post, Faces has become one of my most favourite to-go brand for eye pencils! In their last sale, while I was browsing through their vast range of products, I came across this Gentle eye makeup remover! I read through the description and immediately bought it! Read to know how it fared.
The description on the bottle says it gently removes the eye makeup and is suitable for contact lenses wearers as well! This was primarily why I bought this! I wear contacts every day and I was looking for a good water-based makeup remover.
My Take on Faces Canada Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:
Honestly, I am a bit disappointed with this product! Yes, it hurt’s so much saying this as its the first Faces product which I feel is not that great! The makeup remover is very watery and has a strong smell of roses! Its like using rose water! I am not saying I don’t like fragrance of roses, but this is a bit too overpowering! Does it remove makeup? Yes, it does, but it takes at least 3 to 4 swipes! I have very sensitive eye area and I hate to pull or tug the skin as its the most thinnest skin in our body and tugging and pulling can really be harmful to the eyes!
Also, it stings a lot if it goes into the eyes! I love my Maybelline Eye Makeup Remover more than this as it never stung me even though it goes inside the eye and was absolutely safe even with wearing contacts! Also, Faces is quite expensive! MRP is Rs. 400 and on discount, I got this for Rs. 300/-
The packaging is quite nice, but not sturdy! You got to twist the cap and a small white dispenser opens up. The dispenser has a tiny cap, but its very fragile, mine broke 🙁 Hence this would not be travel friendly! If the small cap for dispenser breaks, then it will spill around!

Let’s quickly summarize this product:
Pros of Faces Canada Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:
- Its a water-based makeup remover and yes it is gentle on the skin.
- Does not leave behind oily residue.
- Will suit all skin types.
- It does remove makeup, but requires 3 to 4 swipes.
Cons of Faces Canada Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:
- Stings a lot if it goes inside the eye.
- This may not be suitable to remove heavy eye makeup.
- It does not remove eye makeup in one go, but take 3 to 4 swipes which may cause pulling and tugging of skin.
- Expensive!
- Haven’t seen this one online, it is available only at Faces outlets.
- Highly concentrated fragrance which might be irritating for some.

I would not recommend this to anyone as its expensive and not worth the price we pay, Maybelline’s Eye Makeup Remover is much better than this!

I LOVE the Maybelline one. I recently bought the Revlon one since the Maybelline one was out of stock wherever I went and it’s good too 🙂 will review it.
I have revlon one too 😀 but still like maybelline more..wish they had bigger bottle in that like 500ml 🙂

Jyo..me no like Avon makeup remover..it stung my eyes badly..all red red..:(..:(..I think it doesnt suit sensitiv eyes
