This is my first Smash Box lipstick and I am elated. They have a huge counter here in Boots next to Benefit. I was eyeing the matte range but it was not there in Boots yet. The color that caught my attention was Mulberry. This shade is something I have been wearing all my life. The color is not very young, it is more of a plum berry brown with some pink to it.

The case of the lipstick is a star! It is matte case and has a magnetic closure to it, very square to look at, I love it. the lipstick is regular sized and shaped and the texture is another unique thing.The texture is like a gel cream on the thicker side, such that it instantly covers and gives the lips a boost of moisture.The lips look supple instantly and this will be a relief for dry lips. The coverage is medium to full.

The lipstick is creamy in taut gel-like manner, not in a buttery manner.This does not look like it will melt soon. The finish is supple hydrated lip-look, which I love so much. Initially, I have to confess I thought the texture is a little on the sticky side. But that is for a reason – This makes the lipstick last longer, hug the lips and make them supple,and this sticky nature makes it not bleed, impressive! it is nothing bothersome, just unique. What more, it even gives a fuller lips look.

The lipstick coats and shapes the lips beautifully without bleeding at all. The lips feel nourished. The pigmentation is superb as well. The lipstick lasts 5 hours easily without a meal.This leaves a light tint behind so lips are not left bare suddenly. The color is flattering on warm to medium skin. If you are too cool toned, this is not for you.

The lips feel shiny for the initial hours, which then looks like soft creamy finish. Overall, dry lips and even pigmented lips who love such colors of brown and plums is going to love this lipstick. The slight thicker sticky texture makes it even better. The texture reminds me of some Clinique long last lipsticks and Diana of London Pure Addiction lipsticks. I will be buying more Smash Box soon I hope!!
