I have like 6 fresh sealed packs of baby lips, which I will subsequently use, currently I am using the berry and coral one, planning to open and antioxidant berry too 😛 but we all absolutely adore these isnt it? SO many variants with the neon and the color ones, and US has some more varieties hopefully we should get them soon enough. As of now, I am giving some amazing choices in baby lips variants which will help you hoard more 😛 😀 take a look.
Coral Flush is a sheer sorbet orangey lip balm. Cherry Kiss is a tinted cherry pink lip balm.
This lip balm appears to be dark in the casing but when applied is very lightly pigmented. As you can see in the swatch I have swiped it 3-4 times to get that visibly light pink color. The scent is similar to their earlier Maybelline lip balm in Pink Bloom. Though I was expecting a slight scent of roses in this one as its name suggests, but I was in for a disappointment. It hydrates and moisturizes effectively without drying. I have applied it both during the day as well as at night and my lips feel extremely soft. I also use them below my matte lipsticks and there is no dryness for hours.
The packing is very practical with a long transparent printed cap. The fun orange color tube makes it look like some cheap teen makeup product, but I can’t deny how easy it is to carry in the purse 🙂 The texture of the lip balm is very thin and feels very light on lips. The color doesn’t bleed out of lips even if I apply multiple layers. That makes it easy to use while on the go. For such a thin textured lip balm, I doubt the SPF 20 claim that some websites are making. I did not see any mention about the SPF 20 on the official Maybelline website.
It has SPF 16 which is great as many lip balms lack that. This one smells fruity and little citrusy, surprisingly it contains tiny shimmers. But they are only visible on the stick itself and do not transfer to the lips much. This one is probably the sheerest from the other two. When applied two to three swipes it shows up as a coral orange shade and very wearable, the color payoff will be less on pigmented lips. It gives a nice shine and polished look to the lips and makes my lips look luscious and fuller.
The packaging is similar to the regular Maybelline baby lips; this one is a little more colorful and bright with animated lip swatches drawn on the front. The lip balm itself is small and handy and a bright fuchsia pink colored. When twisted up the stick comes out and it is the same color as the packaging and looks very pigmented but comes of sheer and not very neon as the name
It is so addicting. The scent is amazing. It smells like sweet peaches (hence the name), I just want to eat it. Hihi The color payoff is good too! It the perfect nude color for an everyday use with minimal makeup. I love the sparkle sheen it has in it. Sometimes, I apply this over my lipstick and it gives off a beautiful color. Regardless, the numerous flaws doesn’t seem to be bothering me because I am buying one after another and I am reapplying it multiple times.
Maybelline Babylips Lip Balm in Mango Pie is the most amazing lip balm I have ever tired. It is so smooth, it glides on the lips effortlessly, making the lips so soft instantly.
The texture is so buttery and though it does not feel greasy on the lips. It is very light weight & feathery. It does contain SPF 20 which is great if you step out in the sun. I must say though it contains SPF it does not leave behind any kind of white shield on the lips.
there is little or no color pay off once applied and if there is then I guess it just blends in with my natural lip color. The texture of the product is smooth though it can feel greasy if applied too much. This does not last me too long but I did not expect it too. Maybelline claims that it will make your lips look and feel better after constant use. I have been using so many of these products on a regular basis and my lips look and feel the same they did before. No change at all. So overall, this lip balm is an OK product, not too great but not too bad either.
What has struck me about these lip balms is that they are so super-smooth and easy to apply. They just glide on the lips like butter. In spite of having SPF 16 or something, these don’t leave any sort of whitish-cast behind. They are completely non-flaky unlike some other lip balms that have SPF like the Lotus Herbals. It’s not very heavy and doesn’t feel like its sitting on my lips. My lips look and feel really soft and healthy with this on and the faint pink flush it gives (God, didn’t that sound like a TV commercial?)
I am in love with this product. It keeps my lips well moisturized. And the baby pink color looks so pleasant on the lips. It has got a lovely fragrance too, something similar to the smell of a strawberry 🙂 😀 Due its pinkish shade it can be used instead of a lipstick. Also you can glide it on your favorite lipstick to make your lips look more attractive 🙂
At first, when I looked at the green color I was definitely not tempted to buy it. I was thinking who wears green lip balm, but then I looked at the label and it said “Minty Sheer.” So, then I knew that it is just a light sheer shade. As I have mentioned before, I love the packaging. This one comes in a long, black, twist-up tube with bright neon green writing on the clear cap.
The colour pay-off is really good as it gives a nice pink tint to the lips which looks very sweet and natural on the lips. Although it wouldn’t be called as bright but whatever it is I loved the shade and I am happy that I got 2 even without trying it. However this one would not show up on pigmented lips but it gives a nice shine which will look good on everyone. It contains SPF as well and that is the main thing that I needed, the product content is low but for lips it is fine. It is very moisturising and will work great for dry lips too and makes them completely hydrated. It does not last for 6 hours but will last for a time of 3 hours but re-application helps me. I just love this range I have so many of them but will get some more as it hydrates the lips, keeps them from chapping or drying up, gives a nice pink tint and has SPF too. It can be concluded as a full-fledged worthy combo.
I picked up this shade called Anti-oxidant Berry. I was interested to try a non-tinted lip balm that I could use at night and after scrubbing my lips. So I thought I’d give this a try. The other non-tinted one is called Mango Pie that was reviewed yesterday. This one as it claims is completely colorless without being whitish. It’s suitable to be used underneath lipsticks or just to get the moisturizing benefits of a lip balm.
Maybelline has always come up with really appreciable lip balms. This lip balm is one of them. It is very smooth, glides very easily. It has a beautiful cherry fragrance and a cherry taste, but it is very light, which I really like because I don’t like very sweet-flavoured lip balms or strong-smelling lip balms as they irritate me. The lip balm is colourless, but one day while staring into it, I found that is has a tinge of baby pink colour in it, which when applied is not very visible.
The colour is rich, almost like a lipstick when you look at it. It reminds me of strawberry or raspberry. What I loved the most is how smooth it is to apply – no stickiness and it just glides smoothly on. It definitely delivers in terms of being great for lips – it settles in and within just a few hours, you can expect very soft lips!
The daring neon yellow color can throw off anyone easily. But don’t worry ladies, this product is completely sheer. Just a tiny hint of yellow tinge that you can barely see at all. This fun daring color comes in a black plain twistable tube just like the other shades in the “Electro” collection. It has a clear cap with Baby Lips written around it, again, just like the other ones. The title is “Fierce N Tangy,” but there is nothing really “fierce” about this. The color payoff is completely sheer, though in the swatch there is a bit of a yellow-green tinge, it is hardly noticeable on the lips. Compared to the other lip balms in the collection, I do find these to be very thick and greasy.
This lip balm glides like butter on my lips and is extremely moisturising. I didn’t find it to be sticky and it doesn’t feel heavy at all on my lips. It stays on my lips for 4-5 hours and keeps them very soft and supple. It definitely gives me the soft baby lips with regular use.
So now what do you think how many more do you need?I think most of us have more than two, which ones have your tried?
