Maybelline Baby Lips Berry Blast Review
I was so excited to see the new Maybelline Baby Lips range at my local Health and Glow after I saw Rati’s picture of the lip balms on Instagram. I wanted to try one at a time, so I bought the one in “Berry Blast.” I used Maybelline Bloom before this in a light pink, so I wanted something different this time.

Rs. 150/- but some Health and Glow outlets are offering an introductory discount, so it would be Rs. 130/- there.
The packaging, as you can see, is very cute. I love that font, and the colour is so pretty! I am a total lip balm addict, I almost collect them, you see. So, how could I resist this cute one? I have always wished that they came with a key chain or clip-on for bags like Bonne Bell Lip Balms.
The colour is rich, almost like a lipstick when you look at it. It reminds me of strawberry or raspberry. What I loved the most is how smooth it is to apply – no stickiness and it just glides smoothly on. It definitely delivers in terms of being great for lips – it settles in and within just a few hours, you can expect very soft lips!
The colour, however, is not too pigmented. So, this could be your primer before applying a lipstick in a similar but pigmented shade, or you could apply this and then top it off with clear lip gloss. I love the fact that the colour isn’t gritty. In many Nivea pigmented lip balms, the colour shows up as little particles on your lips after a while :/ so it’s good that this doesn’t have that. Here’s a swatch: it’s said that fingertips have the colour closest to your lips, so you should always swatch lip stuff on that and not the back of your hand.
I tried my best for a lip swatch, but it didn’t come out that well :/ probably when I review a lipstick 😛
Pros of Maybelline Baby Lips Berry Blast:
- Provides excellent moisturizing.
- Cute packaging.
- Reasonably priced.
Cons of Maybelline Baby Lips Berry Blast:
- Not much payoff in terms of colour, but it’s a lip balm! 😀
I would definitely repurchase, but probably I would try the other flavours/shades 😀
