6 Homemade Anti Cellulite Body Scrubs
The lumpy fat (also called as cottage cheese fat) that appears on the thighs, upper arms and buttocks of a person is known as cellulite. Today one can easily find various kinds of products like creams and gels etc. to get rid of cellulite.

But, if you are not ready to spend a lot of money on cosmetic products and treatments that will tighten your skin, then you can try some homemade treatments that often can be equally effective against cellulite as the expensive treatments that are available.

A coffee body scrub stimulates circulation to remove cellulite. Here are few for you to try.
Coffee and Avocado Scrub
Take 1 Cup ground coffee, 1 Cup course brown sugar, 1 Mashed ripe avocado and 1 Tsp. olive oil. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mash to get a scrub consistency. Using a circular motion rub the mixture into the damp skin in places where you have cellulite. Leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.
Coffee and Coconut Scrub
Take 1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in a bowl and heat it in a double boiler, stirring slowly until it melts completely. Keep it aside to cool but not solidify. Once it cools a bit add 1 Cup Ground Coffee, 1 Cup Sugar and 1/2 Tablespoon Cinnamon in it. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. Use 1-2 times a week (or everyday if you like). The coffee and sugar will exfoliate your skin and the coconut oil will leave your skin soft and moisturized.
Oatmeal and Coffee Scrub
Take 1/2 cup steamed oatmeal, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons ground coffee, 5-6 drops of essential oil of orange, 3-4 drops of rosemary essential oil and 2-3 drops of cinnamon oil. Stir the mixture and apply on the trouble spots. Do the massage for 5-10 minutes. Then wash with warm water and then rinse with lukewarm. Do not forget to moisturize your skin after treatment with cleansing cream or milk.
Brown Sugar and Sea Salt Scrub
Take 1 cup brown sugar (to gently exfoliate without drying), 1 cup sea salt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil or sesame oil (to moisturize your skin), 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon and 2 tablespoon honey in a bowl and mix well. Store this scrub in an airtight glass jar. Apply the scrub directly to your wet or damp skin and rub it in circular motions with your fingers, or use a washcloth or loofah. Leave on your skin for about 5 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.
Corn Oil Treatment
Mix a cup of corn oil with 1/2 cup of grapefruit juice and 2 teaspoons dried thyme. Massage into hip, thigh, and buttock areas. Cover with plastic wrap to lock in body heat. For extra results lay a heating pad over each area for five minutes.
Grapefruit Gel
Take 100g Aloe Vera Gel and 15-20 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil. Mix well and place this mixture in a dark glass bottle. Massage it gently into affected areas until the mixture is absorbed. This gel is best applied in the evening, so the Grapefruit Essential Oil doesn’t get in contact with sun. Because it’s a citrus oil which can also irritate your skin. Patch test it first if you are uncertain.
Cellulite does not appear or go away in one day, you need patience and perseverance to treat this problem.
