I had recently picked up few shampoos from the brand Alverde. Today’s review is all about Alverde Coconut Milk Moisturizing Shampoo. Read on to know more.
Price and Quantity:
$2.29 for 200 ml
The moisturizing shampoo by alverde NATURKOSMETIK convinces with a nourishing formula with coconut milk from certified organic cultivation. It cleanses and cares for the hair gently and gently, without complaining. The care formula with vegetable glycerine and aloe vera from certified organic cultivation counteracts drying out of the hair. The hair is noticeably smoother, easier to comb and shines in a natural glow – right down to the tips.
– With organic coconut milk
– Without silicones
– Dry and damaged hair
My Experience with Alverde Coconut Milk Moisturizing Shampoo:
The product comes in a rectangular white plastic bottle with a blue flip cap. The design is similar to the other shampoos from this range. The cap closes with a click and considering that it is sleek, the product makes a perfect travel companion too. The product comes unsealed and you can find some information on the back of the bottle. Since it is a coconut based shampoo, you can see the design on the top of it.
The shampoo has a gel like texture which is pretty different from the shampoos that I have used. It feels like aloe gel when squeezed out. It is transparent and has a cloudy like texture. It is kind of similar to aloe. It smells predominantly of coconut. You can feel the rich coconut fragrance when you work it into your hair.
The shampoo lathers moderately well. It is not similar to the other ones available. The product cleanses the hair well and gives a cleansed feel. Due to the less lathering of the shampoo, it doesn’t get rid of the oil. The product doesn’t remove any kind of oils. It removes only light oils but if you use castor, olive or even coconut oil, you need to make sure that you use the shampoo twice. The product is good only when you need to wash the hair minus the oil. There is matching conditioner and hair care mask for this range. The shampoo doesn’t cause any frizz. It makes the hair soft and smooth. It also makes it manageable and when you use a wide comb, it goes on easily without any issue. It also adds a little radiance to the hair. The shampoo controls the frizz too.
One thing I hate a lot about this product is the failure of it to moisturize the hair. I do not feel any hydration from this shampoo and using a conditioner is mandatory. The product due to the presence of coconut makes the scalp oily. It makes the hair dry and scalp oily and because of this I am not sure how should this product be placed. It doesn’t do well to both oily and dry hair. The product however is organic and also doesn’t contain silicones and parabens. I guess it works well, when you use the complete range or else using it individually is a dud! If you have normal hair, this could be worth a try otherwise you can give this a skip. It doesn’t fare like the others. So summing up
