My Experience with Balea Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes:

Balea Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes Review Packaging

Using makeup remover wipes is the way I end my day, every single day! I cannot live without makeup remover wipes. Balea introduced this new Micellar product, makeup remover wipes. I have used Micellar water from Nivea before and am impressed with the effective cleaning it does. So, this product, which is a combination of Micellar water and a wipe, is a great option for me to remove everyday makeup.

Micellar water is supposed to be made up of micelles suspended in soft water. Micelles are the tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules. The oil molecules attract the dirt or the makeup from the face, thereby removing makeup. These are not intended to dry out the skin. The look and feel, both, are just like that of water. The texture varies slightly from the water. Micellar water was invented because people in France had a scarcity of water, but now everyone uses it.

The wipes come in a lavender and pink colored packaging. The plastic packaging comes with an adhesive opening on top which can be opened and closed. It’s very much like the packaging of baby wipes. It closes tightly, leaving no openings. These openings usually cause the wipes to dry out over time. The fragrance of the wipes is slightly on the higher side but also pleasant; the fragrance might be overwhelming for a few. So, please stay away if you do not prefer scented wipes.

To avoid the wipes from drying out, I normally place the side with flap opening facing down. So, there is less air circulation. This trick has helped me to retain the moisture in the wipes.

The wipes are moist enough to work with. In case, I feel the wipe is a little too dry, then I sprinkle a few drops of water on the wipe and use it. It works just fine. I also use the same trick if I haven’t used the wipes in a long time and they have gotten a little dry.

The size of the wipe is double the size of my palm. The wipe also has a texture to it and I feel that the texture helps in removing the makeup better. The color of the wipe is white. One wipe is sufficient to remove the complete face and neck makeup. I use both sides and every corner. The material of the wipe feels very tender to the skin. The material of the wipe is elastic and doesn’t tear during usage. The wipe is moist, but not dripping wet. I have tested it on both water soluble and waterproof makeup. I normally use a cotton pad and cleansing milk to remove eye makeup first, and then, use a wipe all over the face including eyes. I use face wash and water and finally wash my face. This gets rid of all the makeup and keeps my face free of breakouts.
