Lovely hello to all the beautiful people,
I have another sunscreen for you today. With this, I cannot stress enough on the importance of sunscreens. After my really bad experience with Equate Sport Continuous Spray Sunscreen SPF 50, I was looking for a sunscreen which performs better and hydrates my dry skin as well. And I found this! With its protection + hydration claim, it surely attracted me. I have had good experiences with Banana Boat sunscreens in the past, and so there were no qualms about whether I should get it or not.
This 2-in-1 combination of sunscreen and moisturizer provides all-day moisture with broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection and Aloe Vera. The unique formula leaves your skin feeling soft and healthy-looking during your time in the sun.

My Experience with Banana Boat Protect and Hydrate 2 in 1 Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50:
Banana Boat Protect & Hydrate Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 comes in a transparent plastic squeeze tube/bottle with a flip top cap. The cap shuts nice and tight and the bottle can be easily taken along on a day-long trip. The product is packaged in a marble design and different layers of the two products can be seen. Though while squeezing we get a mixed layer out, and one can’t see the 2 different products.
The consistency of the product is pretty thick and it is more of a cream than lotion. But it is easy to spread and apply. But at times, the thickness makes it really difficult to squeeze it out from the bottle. The lotion spreads easily and gets absorbed into the skin really well. It is not greasy at all and does not give any uneasy feeling after application. I have never applied it on my face and use it mainly as a body sunscreen. It doubles up as my body lotion as well. It is really hydrating and keeps my dry skin moisturized.
And I am relieved that I don’t have to go over twice – once with the body lotion and again with the sunscreen. This product has simplified my routine. And it keeps my dry skin hydrated all day long. I don’t feel the need to reapply another body lotion all through the day. The product says that it is free from added fragrance. It does have a little fragrance, sunscreen-type fragrance which is very faint and goes away as soon as the product is applied.
I have had no reactions or body breakouts after using Banana Boat Protect & Hydrate Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50. The application is not streaky and it does protect from the harsh sun as well. I have worn it on my day out and couldn’t reapply. But even after being out in the sun, for the whole day, it protected me from sun and from tanning as well. 🙂 It protected me from sunburn due to enough broad spectrum SPF 50 UVA/UVB protection.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Banana Boat Protect and Hydrate 2 in 1 Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50?
Oh yeah, definitely. I love this sunscreen mostly because it is great as a moisturizer too and it has really reduced my task of applying the body lotion and sunscreen separately. Come summers, and I am keeping it in stock and even as a backup. 🙂
