I am here with another review – of Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in the shade “Hooligan.”
What it is:
A daringly vivid, full-coverage lip color with a gentle plumping effect and seductive satin finish.
What it does:
This smooth, creamy, ultra-hydrating lipstick offers a major plumping effect without the tingle. Encapsulated hyaluronic spheres help to promote hydration and fullness, while Shea butter, coconut oil, chamomile flower wax, and vitamins C and E help moisturize, soothe, and protect lips.
Ingredients:
Price: $21 for 0.13 oz. I have it in a deluxe size.
My Experience with Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Shade Hooligan :
Shades: Comes in 12 different shades. I got the shade called Hooligan which is a gorgeous mauve-plum shade.
Here is a swatch of the lipstick.
First Impression: This lipstick claims to be ultra-hydrating and it is indeed extremely hydrating and not at all sticky. The color is very saturated and you get the exact same color on lips as the tube. It is very smooth, creamy and moisturizing and it did not dry my lips as some lipsticks would. The shade I got is a very pretty mauve color and it looks great on my skin tone. I am actually very happy with the color pigmentation and the texture.
This lipstick however also claims to offer a plumping effect without a tingle which I think this lipstick does not provide. I however did not see any plumping effect. I do not think this lipstick makes your lips look fuller. But frankly I do not mind that.
Because the lipstick is so smooth and creamy I would suggest twist the lipstick tube just a little bit while applying on the lips to avoid breaking it. It does not tingle either, as the buxom full bodied lip glosses do.
Staying Power: This lipstick did not dry my lips and did not crack as well. However this lipstick does not stay for a long time especially after a meal or a drink. It does transfer too. So touch up is required every couple of hours or so. If that does not bother you, this lipstick is great to have as it does provide a lot of hydration to the lips.
Another thing with this lipstick is that as it is so hydrating, it will definitely melt easily so avoid exposing it to the sun. Overall, I really love this lipstick but I do not think it provides the plumping effect to the lips.

• Extremely hydrating
• Very smooth and creamy.
• Great pigmentation.
• Does not dry or crack.
• Very pretty shade.
• Not at all sticky.
Cons of Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Shade Hooligan :
• Low staying power and transfers easily.
• Melts easily.
• Does not provide the plumping effect as promised.
• Little on the pricey side.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Shade Hooligan ?
Definitely. I love the way this lipstick feels and hydrates the lips. Although the staying power is not that great, I do not mind retouching. If that bothers you, this might not be a good buy for you. But if you do not mind retouching, definitely give this lipstick a try.
