Bath and Body Works Iced Gingerbread Nourishing Hand Cream Review
Hola Amigos,
Today, I have for you another hand cream from Bath and Body Works. My super dry hands love hand creams. The cold and harsh weather and indoor heating give another reason to indulge in them. I love Bath and Body Works fragrances, but this one I absolutely detest. 🙁 Why? I will let you know more in the review.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Iced Gingerbread Nourishing Hand Cream:
Iced Gingerbread was another scent introduced as part of Holiday Traditions collection from Bath and Body Works this year. I just love Winter Candy Apple and Snow Kissed Berry Hand Cream that I got from the holiday collections and hence picked this one but alas, it didn’t fare well especially on my fragrance scale. 🙁
All the holiday tradition range hand creams have shimmery tubes, so this one is not far behind. It has a metallic-gold packing and the graphics set you in the perfect holiday mood and it’s definitely fancy. The size of the tube is 2oz/60 ml which is standard across all Bath and Body Works hand creams and is travel friendly too. The packaging is gorgeous and definitely sets you in the holiday mood.
I have a very good experience with the other two holiday traditions fragrances – Winter Candy Apple and Snow Kissed Berry and the Iced Gingerbread too was among one of the favorite fragrances around and was selling like hot cakes. Due to these reasons, I picked this fragrance up, but I am not at all happy with it. 🙁
The hand cream is slightly off white – creamy colored one and not white as most of other BBW hand creams are. The consistency too is perfect – neither thick nor runny, but the fragrance is very very sweet. I have applied it just a couple of times and it feels like I have just come out of an oven and have become a gingerbread myself. 😛 It is too much cinnamon and very overpowering. It is very sickeningly sweet and every time I apply it, I had to wash my hands to get rid of it. It is one of the BBW scents I wasn’t blown away by. I smelled a lot of ginger and cinnamon and not enough vanilla. The smell lingers even after washing the hands, so I have to wash my hands with soap repeatedly to get rid of the smell from my hands, but the cream itself has a nice, smooth texture and keeps hands moisturized. Also, unlike the other hand creams from BBW, this one makes your hands a bit greasy too.
Pros of Bath and Body Works Iced Gingerbread Nourishing Hand Cream:
- Gorgeous packaging.
- Travel friendly.
- Inexpensive.
- Cruelty free.
Cons of Bath and Body Works Iced Gingerbread Nourishing Hand Cream:
- Contains parabens.
- Leaves your hands a bit greasy.
- Very sweet sickening smell.
IMBB Rating:
2.5/5
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Bath and Body Works Iced Gingerbread Nourishing Hand Cream?
Though this fragrance is one of the hot favorites but I think otherwise. 😛 I mostly go to Bath and Body Works for their amazing fragrances, but this one did not impress me. You can give it a try for sure if you like cinnamon-y fragrances. I would not purchase this one again, and would rather go with a different scent.
