Today, I bring to you an Aloe Gel lotion from the newly launched Bath and Body Works Hawaii collection. This is the Kauai Lei Flower Aloe Gel lotion. I have already reviewed the Maui Mango Surf Aloe Gel lotion from the same collection here. Mostly, Bath and Body works produces the Shea and Vitamin E Body lotions which are more of cream-based lotions. However, with the Hawaii collection, they have launched the Aloe Gel lotions. My experience with Bath and Body Works Kauai Lei Flower Aloe Gel Lotion:
Packaging:
I have the travel version of the gel lotion and it comes in a very cute peach and purple colored plastic flip-top tube. The gold leaf imagery stands out and looks very attractive. The packaging is absolutely stunning and it spells summer all the way!! The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly. It is also available in a bigger 5.6floz variant.
Fragrance:
Kauai Lei is a very pleasant fragrance from Bath and Body Works. I was expecting it to be a strong tropical flowers-based fragrance. Instead, it is quite muted and mellow. It smells like a beautiful concoction of coconut milk and vanilla with some lilies thrown in. It is a lovely light fragrance which would be best suited for the hot spring/summer months.
The fragrance lingers on my body for 2-3 hrs. But you can layer it from other products from the same fragrance line to make it last longer.
Texture and Performance:
The aloe gel lotion is light peach in color and has a gel like consistency. It spreads very easily and also gets absorbed fast. It doesn’t feel greasy at all. But at the same time, it provides good hydration to the skin. It leaves my skin soft and supple. This aloe gel lotion is a water-based lotion and hence it feels much lighter than the regular Bath and Body works lotions.This lotion would be a great option to use in summers when normal lotions start feeling greasy on the skin.
To summarize, this aloe gel lotion is a very good option to keep your skin well-nourished during the Spring/Summer months. Those of you who like mild coconut and vanilla fragrances will surely like this fragrance.

Yes, this is a pretty effective water-based lotion with a pleasant fragrance.
