The weather is just getting better and better!! 😉 Don’t you think?? Hyderabad was never this cold, and I am not really fan of the cold weather, but this year, I am kinda liking it!! 😉 I haven’t done any reviews in the past week because I had to run errands and a lot of things!! Any how, this week, you will see more of my reviews!! 😀

Today will be a review of one of my favorite drugstore product which is “The metallic eye quad no.2” by Beauty UK. I’m sure most of you are aware of the brand, if you are not, it is again a UK-based drugstore brand, like MUA and offers some good products without digging a hole in the pocket! And for those of you who are wondering, why I’m such a U.K product freak, it is because my brother lives there and that gives me an easier access to them!!

Price:

Around 3.49 pounds (when I got it).

Packaging:

The packaging is pretty much drugstore like, nothing too fancy! It comes in a black plastic case, has Beauty UK metallic quad written at the front and other details at the back! The packaging is pretty durable though, my nephew has dropped it like a gazillion times and it hasn’t broken even a tad bit *touch wood*! Also, it is very compact and travel friendly which makes it your portable Smokey eye palette, won’t take much space in your make-up bag. It comes with two dual sided sponge applicators, which my niece uses now for doing her Barbie’s makeup! 😛

Colors:

It has four colors in the palette, a white which off course is a highlighting shade, the second one is a gun-metal gray, the third is a black with a slight hint of golden shimmer and the fourth shade is again silver with a hint of blue. All the colors are great for a Smokey eye look.

Color pay-off:

One word- “SUPERB”!!! For the price, I think I couldn’t have asked for more! Like, they are super blendable, buttery soft, not chalky at all and most of all; they look great on the lid!

Staying power:

I don’t wear make-up on an everyday basis; I save it for occasions or weddings! With this eye quad, I have never had problems with creasing or fading, whatsoever!! It stays put on the lid for a good 6 hours, which is the maximum I have make-up on my face. I’ve never really worn it longer though.

Bottom Line:

The Beauty UK metallic eye quad is definitely one of my most favorite makeup items, not because it is cheap, but because the quality is outstanding. Also, it is a great way to create an intense Smokey eye look without having to shuffle through palettes!! Moreover, it is less likely to find a promising drugstore product, without any imperfections! The eye makeup in the picture is more on the subtle side, but trust me, the intensity of the Smokey eye can be built up to your preference, this is just how I like it!!

6. Staying power is decent (considering I haven’t worn it for longer than 6 hours).

Yes, it’s a steal for the price.

Yes, I’d love to try the other quads too!  However, I’ll always come back to this little baby for my perfect Smokey eye look!
