My Experience with Becca Lychee/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflé:

Packaging:  This product comes in a small tub which is TINY!! – like the size of an eyeshadow pot. Considering how much these little blushes cost, I do feel it is a bit overpriced and expensive. The tub packaging does make for easy application but you do have to dip your fingers or brush in it to use which can seem a bit unhygienic.  Also, you have to be careful to close the tub quickly after use as prolonged exposure to air can dry the souffle out.

Texture:  I love the texture of these Becca blushes. They are very airy, spongy/cushion-y and if you press in them hard, that will cause a dent. Hence you need to be careful, just skim the surface. The texture feels super lightweight and easy to blend without going streaky. I find that using fingertips is best if you want to go heavy or use a stipple brush for a sheerer look on the skin.

Shade:  The shade “Lychee/Opal” is basically the blush shade “Lychee” mixed with the highlight shade “Opal” – both of them are available individually to buy in the Becca line, but using this pre-mixed product makes for such a quick and easy application.

The shade “Lychee/Opal” is described as a bubble gum pink color infused with golden opal. It is a very beautiful bright pink with a warm rose-golden glow to it. I love how this bright pink color just gives life to my face and leaves a girly romantic appeal. It gives the perfect amount of glow to the cheeks without looking too shimmery. The shimmer particles are super fine and undetectable on their own, but they give a sort heavenly glow to the skin.

This product gives such a multi-dimensional look to the cheeks with the blush shade underlay topped with the golden sheen and that makes it look like you have layered multiple products to achieve the look. For an added intensity of color, I layer this with my powder blushes.

It looks very natural and perfect even for everyday wear. This shade will suit most skin tones, even deeper skin tones can work with this.

Pigmentation:  This shade has very good pigmentation. I have to build it up in 2-3 layers for the shade to show up on with intensity on my skin, but they still retain a sort of translucency. I am someone who likes the look of blush and likes them to look visible and apparent on my skin hence the sheerness of these blushes in general is something I am not a huge fan of. The plus here is that these do layer and build on itself quite easily without feeling too heavy or greasy.

Feel and look on skin:  This goes on with a crème finish without any tackiness or greasiness. It feels very lightweight on the skin. The shimmers don’t travel all over my face and are so fine that they are hardly detectable on their own. It gives a wonderfully luminous glow to the skin which I love.  I like how they don’t seem to emphasize my pores nor do they cling to the dry patches.

Staying Power:  The staying power of these blushes is good on my skin. Becca claims that these blushes are like a tint on the skin which is waterproof and long wearing.  It does start to fade in about 5-6 hours on my skin, but it does last longer than any other creme blush that I have used in the past. I can stretch the staying power if I apply them heavily.

Fragrance:  These blushes have a faint fruity scent which I like.

Overall, I absolutely love the spongy texture, the whipped formula, and the beautiful range of colors these blushes come in. This particular shade is quite stunning and I love pairing it with pink berry looks. I am quite happy with this product. If you like glowing, natural-looking, easy-to-use blushes, these are some of the best in the market. I will recommend this to all of you 🙂

Pros of Becca Lychee/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflé:

  • Lightweight.
  • Buildable pigmentation.
  • Beautiful shades to choose from.
  • Airy, spongy texture.
  • Easy-to-use, beginner friendly.
  • Hydrating on skin.
  • Does not accentuate pores.
  • Non-tacky, non-greasy texture.
  • Natural looking, glowy, without being too shimmery.
  • Can be applied with fingertips or stippling brush.
  • Good staying power for a crème blush. Crème blushes usually fade within 4 hours on me, but this product gives me about 5- 6 hours of wear which is impressive.

Cons of Becca Lychee/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflé:

  • Sheer but buildable pigmentation, for those who like their blushes to be strongly pigmented and very apparent on your skin, you will not like these.
  • Very expensive for the tiny size; considering it is whipped, so most of it is air.
