Today I’m going to share a few tips to get rid of dark circles for a clear and even toned skin. All these tips are practical & based on personal experience. Read on to know more….
• External help:
There is hardly any difference in the formulation of a face cream or an under eye cream. So, fancy eye creams & gels are definitely not the solution for your problem. You can use a soothing eye gel to massage the area around your skin, it will not only refresh the eye area but also make the appearance of skin better. But this is not a permanent solution, the effect would be temporary. In fact, the truth is that there isn’t really much you can do externally to cure dark circles so be wise and stay away from market gimmicks :O
• Almond oil:
The only thing which works externally to a certain extent is application of Almond oil. Massage almond oil around your eyes including your brows & lashes in an anti-clock wise direction for two minutes before bed time. You can see visible improvement in 10-12 days.
You need to take charge of your diet and cure your dark circles from inside. Eat lots & lots of salads & diet rich in green vegetables. The better you eat the better your skin will become. You can also drink fresh fruit juices to combat dark circles. But as fruit juices are very high in sugar content, weight watchers need to be careful. They can rather have coconut water every day.
Another diet tip which works wonders for dark circles is eating almonds. Soak 7- 8 almond in water overnight and next day peel the skin & chew them with a glass of warm milk.
• Reduce salt:
Too much salt causes dark shadows around your eyes. If you eat too much salt during dinner, you will wake up with puffy & dark under eyes the next day. Strictly avoid pickles & chutneys and other salty foods especially during dinner.
• Adequate Sleep:
Inadequate sleep is another major reason of dark circles. Always make it a point to sleep at least eight hours every day for beautiful eyes & beautiful you.
• Invest in Anti-glares: If your job involves lots of work on computer, invest in good anti glare glasses. Apart from that, avoid your eyes from taking too much stress.
It is very important to protect your eyes and skin around your eyes from harsh rays of sun. While moving out in the sun, always wear good quality sunglasses.
