Blue and Gold Eye-makeup Tutorial

Blue and Gold Eye-makeup Tutorial

Hi Everyone!

I recently recreated the makeup look I wore on my outfit post I did last year for Eid. It is a dark blue color with hint of golden just like my dress. Hope you like it and try it for yourself.

Products used:

-Maybelline Color Tattoo Crème Shadow in Electric Blue
-Coastal Scents Hot Pot Shadows in Oatmeal Tan, Berry Grey, HP-ME 08 (Gold Color)
-Maybelline Liquid Liner
-Loreal Voluminous Mascara

Step 1:

Start off with clean eyelids, free of all oils and makeup. Be sure to apply an eyeshadow primer. I have used Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Step 2:

Apply Maybelline Color Tattoo in Electric blue to entire lid. Make sure not to go into the crease area and the inner tear duct area. Don’t forget to repeat this on the bottom waterline as well.

Step 3:

Apply a brownish shade which is 2 shades darker than your skin color into your crease area. I have applied the color Oatmeal Tan from CS and blended it into my crease. Remember that this is a transition color, so it should not be too dark and too noticeable.

Step 4:

Apply a deep dark grey shade, I have used Berry Grey from CS, apply it to the outer lid corner. Repeat this process in the outer waterline area.

Step 5:

Now take a clean blending fluffy brush and blend the color into the crease. Make sure it blends into the blue color and also into the light brown shade in the crease.

Step 6:

Now, take a sparkly golden shade and apply it into the inner tear duct. Don’t forget to do the same to the lower inner lash line.

Step 7:

Apply a light frosty white shade under the brows to complete the look. Next, line your eyes with a liquid liner and wing it out.

Step 8:

Apply liner to the bottom waterline and also to the top. Finish off your look with mascara and you are done. (don’t forget to clean all the fallout)

  4. Lovely tutorial, could you elaborate on the brushes used, or various brushes that you like to use. I like coastal scents shadows, have the 252 Ultimate Palette.

    1. I use various types of brushes that by the time I’m writing up the directions..I forget them lol

But mostly I use Kirkland eyeshadow brushes.
Also, blending brush is the main item because without it the colors won’t blend as nicely and you will be left with harsh lines.

I use Sigma brush for that

  5. Totally loved ur pics n make over wow.. *whistle* really hats off hw u gals do it with such ease n cleanliness.. *jai ho* U r really beautiful.. *whistle* *pompom* *pompom*

    1. Thanks Neetu! I have to admit it is hard at first but practice makes perfect and I have practiced a lot!!!! In the past, I used to do makeup just for fun and I would wipe it off and start all over..lol
