Today, I am reviewing Bobbi Brown’s Extra Repair Eye Cream. Until last year, I never thought of buying an eye cream. I had never heard much about them or maybe I never tried. I was going through an article online where I got to know about the importance of an eye cream. So, I decided to get one. Firstly, I had bought Clinique’s “All About Eyes” Eye Cream. When it got over (lasted for 3-4 months), I thought of trying something more hydrating and by that time had heard a lot about the Bobbi Brown’s Extra repair eye cream. Read on to see how it worked for me:
Do your eyes need something extra? Packed with peptides, natural plant oils and humectants that target fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness and dryness, this rich, concentrated cream visibly revives eyes. Use morning and night – warm between fingers, then pat gently around eye area. Once cream is absorbed, follow with Corrector and Creamy Concealer. Dermatologists tested and Ophthalmologists tested.
$62 (I got it from a friend).
Peptides and Natural Plant Oils.
Application: Warm the cream by rubbing in between your fingers.
My Experience with Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Eye Cream:
It has been a wonderful experience with this eye cream. I have used it for 5-6 months and it will last me for another 6 months (total – 1 year :yahoo). It is total “paisa wasool.” It is white in color and is a thick eye cream. I apply this only at night as I think it is heavy to be used during day time and I don’t have very dry under eye area. I take a very little amount and rub it within my ring fingers and apply it gently all over the lid and under the eye. Now, we should apply eye creams only with the ring fingers as they put the least pressure on the delicate skin beneath the eyes. Also, the fluid under the eyes flow from outer corner to the inner corner and on the lid it is opposite. While applying any eye cream, make sure you apply it in the direction of the flow of the fluid. This eye cream is very hydrating and moisturizing. It does improve dark circles, I do not have fine lines, so can’t say much about that, but I am sure it would work wonders for people with fine lines too.
It acts as an excellent base for concealer or foundation. It makes makeup stay on perfectly. The previous eye cream that I had, it used to irritate my eyes a lot. After application, it used to get into my eyes, but this one does not do that at all as it is thick. It does not have any fragrance.
It comes in a Bobbi Brown’s classic packaging of a transparent glass jar with a black screw cap. Now, that is a big problem. Glass jars are a big no for almost everything, mine has already broken (the screw cap) and now I don’t have a cap for this product. I am scared that I might drop this bottle and it will break.
One thing that I want to bring to everybody’s notice is that the area under eyes is very delicate. So, if we apply something too heavy, it can clog pores under the eyes causing white bumps and that looks annoying. I got to know about this as it happened to me while I was using this eye cream. But I realized it after a week that I was applying too much of it. So, apply a tiny amount. Anyway, those bumps went away after a week.
Pros of Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Eye Cream:
- Reduces dark circles.
- Instantly brightens the eye area.
- Contains plant oils and peptides.
- Dermatologist tested.
- Ophthalmologist tested.
Cons of Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Eye Cream:
- It is expensive but lasts forever.
- Packaging is bulky.
Overall, it is a great product and good value for money. You should try it.
