Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation Review

NC-25 in MAC, Light-Medium, oily combination skin, hyper pigmented skin

Hello everyone!

Bourjois is known as king of drugstore foundations in cosmetic industry. Also, Bourjois is one of the brands available at large in my region with every new launch reaching here pretty soon. I have an oily-combination skin and summer in my region invites heat with humidity, activating my oil glands in t-zone, which triggers my search for a HG summer foundation every year. My hunts concludes this summer with Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation. Let’s read complete details.

Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation ingredients

My Take on Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation:

Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser. The cap closes tight and the pump dispenses very controlled amount of foundation, reducing wastage. It isn’t very lightweight but completely travel friendly. The bottle is imprinted with all necessary details. The happiest part is that you are getting a drugstore foundation in a glass jar with a pump dispenser, which is quite rare nowadays.

Let me make it clear that Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation is a foundation strictly formulated for oily skin beauties. If you have dry skin, this isn’t for you. Even combination and normal skin types would need a moisturiser underneath for effortless blending and to attain an air-brushed look. Talking about the foundation, it is ideal for me with its runny consistency. It isn’t too runny to create a mess but liquid enough and gets blended with finger tips. On regular days when I am in a hurry, there is no time to grab a brush in the morning and I have to solely rely on my fingers to apply the foundation. Definitely, a kabuki brush or a Beauty Blender does a better job when it comes to achieving a flawless finish and an air-brushed look. There isn’t much effort required in blending if the skin has been moisturised well.

It blends streak free with an even and flawless look but a blending tool is required to get an air-brushed look. The formula is for oily skin type and is quite hydrating as well. Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation does a superb job in controlling oil and my t-zone is shine free almost 8 hours after application. Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation is a winner foundation to keep oil at bay. The finish is purely matte and I like it in summers, so no complaints there. There is no clogging of pores and no breakout issues with the foundation. Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation provides medium coverage in one coat which can be built up to full coverage with two coasts without looking cakey.

Because of good coverage, I don’t need a third coat ever neither do I need a concealer to cover my blemishes. However, my terrible under eye dark circles keep peeping out still, so a concealer does the job for them. Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation is perfect for Asians with yellow undertones in 4 shades, out of the limited range of 5 shades. The shade selection is easy too but finding a match is purely based on luck :D. Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation contains yellow pigments for dark circles, mauve pigments to cope up with dullness and green to even out skin tone. It is free for harmful chemical and parabens. It is a long-wearing foundation with 8-10 hours wear time without a primer.

  1. Hey everyone!
Is it true that Bourjois is no longer available in India? The Khar beauty center doesn’t have their counter anymore and the SAs there said it was not going to be available here anymore. However, in case it IS still available in India, and suggestions as to where i can find it?
