Bourjois Paris Eyeshadow 07
Bourjois has always been a brand that I thought was above the regular, with all the fancy packing and the inscriptions, and have been dreaming about their blushes since long. The whole baked technology thing really draws me. I have to hoard some really great peachy and pink blushes, as well as some really nice deep shadows all in pretty round pots and some of the ombre stretch shadows as well. Yet to learn about some crème lippies they would have and hence I’m saving money there 😛
The ones that I got from last weekend haul were this shade in deep green black in number 07 and another one which is a surprise; will be reviewing it in the coming week but all I can say is that if you did not like this one, I’m sure you are to like the one I will review next.
When I went to their counter the SA gave me some three trays of eye color blushes which didn’t look so great the way she presented it. then I asked her to show me the real piece of the shades I liked. That’s when I saw this green black shade, something I didn’t have and this was a versatile smokey eye color as well as a crease color and a whole lid color.
The shadow comes in acute round pot with a bent applicator which I think is not too bad to get to areas in the corner of the eye in the crease well. It is a little inconvenient to keep on handling the applicator once you open the pot and hence I think im going to do away with it :p
The color is a deep blackish green which looks almost black once blended. The baked technology maked it usable with a slightly wet brush too. But here is my take on the wet application- I did not find it easy to work with when used wet, as it just sticks and then you cant blend this very deep color. Another trouble I had was that the shadow became hard on the spots I used the wet brush on (please let me know if it has happened with some of you or just me). No doubt the color is intense when wet but hard to work with unless you just want to pat the color on to the crease
When used dry, the color is tightly packed and still due to the deep shade there is minimal fall out which may look almost black later. I don’t know why I find it has to scraped a little to get some color on and the color isn’t as deep on the lid as in the pot.i had to really layer it on
Another thing I would like to point out is that I goes on a little streaky instead of really packed on the lid.the texture of my shadow is a little hard as well when swiped with the finger, but indeed very pigmented and deep like you can see. Now im conosidering I got an old piece as Chennai counters really lack customers and hence the stock.please let me know if your new pieces are better
Apart from that, used on a base or used wet, doesn’t make it sweat proof in this humidity. You can expect a perfect wear for three hours in this weather, and not more, I still feel it’s best used on a base.
Last word:
Definitely shadows worth checking out for 390 for a single.there are some really nice and pigmented shades from this line which you can check out if you are new to these like me. As for me, these are best used with a dry finger and not a wet brush. The piece that I got was a little hard and streaky for sure

i like the way u apply the thick winged liner neha! unfortunately, i have hooded eyes. so if i draw even half mm thick liner, it ends up looking like m wearing eyeshadow :-/ so i end up just tightlining my eyes.
