I was a silent reader of IMBB for a few years. I come to IMBB daily at least 3-4 times. For the past couple of weeks, I had been planning to write for IMBB.  Today, I am going to review Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Lipstick – 13 Rouge Jet Set, which is a bright red lipstick with very subtle blue undertones.

Product Description:

Packaging:

The lipstick comes in a black rectangular case with a transparent red (colour of the lipstick) bottom.  This kind of packaging helps you to find the shade easily if you have more shades from this range in your kitty.  The ingredients list is written under the label.

Texture:

Though it comes under matte lipstick range – it is neither matte nor glossy.  It is something between matte and gloss!!!

My Experience with Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick – 13 Rouge Jet Set:

The tip of the lipstick has an amazing shape – it’s different than any other lipstick that I have tried.  This shape helps to get a precise and sharp application.  I got perfectly defined lips – something like I would get from a well-sharpened lip liner or a lip brush.

Bourjois 13 Rouge Jet Set is a bright red lipstick with minute blue undertones.  You get the exact same color on the lips as in the tube.  It has a decent light glossy finish (very light) without any shimmer.  Light beautifully reflects on this.  This shade will suit almost all Indian skin tones.  It is well pigmented and a single swipe gives the perfect opaque colour.

It has a real feather like feel on my lips. I don’t even feel that I am wearing something on my lips.  This lipstick does not dry out my lips and I can wear it without a lip balm.  Though the lipstick transfer to cups a little, the colour stayed on my lips without fading for almost 6 to 7 hours without any touch ups and with heavy meals (I was at Lulu Mall, had food at KFC, and then went for a movie. Also had some popcorn with Pepsi).  After the show, I looked into the mirror for touch up, but I was amazed.  The glossiness of the lipstick had faded, but the color was still there.  There was no need for a touch up.  I think the company’s claim for 10 hours lasting effect might be true.  Another good thing about this lipstick is that it’s water resistant.  I felt this lipstick is waterproof for the first 2-3 hours.

Summing up the pros and cons:

• Easy to define the lips without a lip liner.
• Feels feathery light on the lips.

• Good staying power.
• Company’s claims about the product are almost correct.
• Complete list of ingredients mentioned on the pack.
• 18 shades are available in this range.
• Travel-friendly packaging.

Cons of Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick – 13 Rouge Jet Set:

• Expensive.
• Packaging could have been a little more attractive.

Do I Recommend Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick – 13 Rouge Jet Set?

Definitely. I highly recommend this shade to all of you or at least any shade from this range.

Would I Repurchase Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick – 13 Rouge Jet Set?

As it is not a daily wear colour, it will last for a long time.  The orange shade from this range is already on my wishlist.  The Bourjois 13 Jet Set lipstick has an amazing formula and would be suitable for all Indian skin tones. Highly recommended!!!
