actually the experience of the senior makeup artists count but yeah the jr makeup artists are equally trained. 🙂
nope,i got it dne frm vidya n it was nt recently,abt 6 yrs bak.. my sis in law also got it dne frm her sme tme bak.ambika’s makeup,i find quite OTT,too much shimmer,too much glitter,too much of everything.a few of my frens got it dne frm ambika n they regretted it badly!

i love Vidhya’s brides..Vidhya has almost 20-21 years of experience in the industry. Not only her, her junior and senior artists do the job equally well. I myself took training from her. :blush:

Hey Noopur, I got mine done at Ambika Pillai and loved it. For both the engagement and the wedding, I told them to keep it as simple as possible. But still, they used a lot of shimmer and all… it worked for me though and I was happy with the makeup then. Now when I look at other brides done up at Ambika’s, I realise they go for the same look!!! Each and every bride has the same shadow, same blush, same forehead bindi etc…. 🙁
Also, my cousin got hers done at Lakme and it was way too cakey… me no like at all…
I have seen 2 brides at Bharti Taneja and liked the work….

i got my bridal makeup done from Aashmeen in feb.nd must say dat I was looking really stunning. :thumbsup: ..I would recommend u guys to give it a try ,even junior artist who did my mom’s was quite nice.the place was quite far and inskirts somewhere in Ashok vihar..really hard to find at that time but the results were really worth and d efforts lady had put in were worth appreciating..Sometime bak i think i saw in some newspaper dat Aashmeen munjal has opened her makeup studio in South ex mkt also..i really dont remember th adres & the ph. no. but the creativity she put in on both my bridl nd reception was awsum.. :hughright:

Ambika is good. NEVER go to Mrignaina! She spoilt my friend’s hair on her cocktail. Poor thing wouldn’t stop crying. She refuses to listen to you and when u say u don’t like what she’s done, she just says sorry and washes her hands off. Very unprofessional lady.

I dont know how they teach and moreover we dont have any other good institute for make up here in kolkata. So I have to go to VLCC… no option… Can u guys just help me what should I asked them to know whether they really teach well or not and after teaching the give placement for sure or not??
