My Experience with Burberry Lip Shaping Pencils
I have become a lip liner person of late. I always have these phases of using lip liner and then completely forgetting about them. Right now I am in the former phase so kind of enjoying using various shades of lip pencils. Plus, being a matte lip fan, nothing close to the matte effect that lip pencils give.
I picked up two lip pencils from Burberry Beauty range-
Brick Red 05: true to its name, it is a stunning brick red color. Perfect for wearing either on its own or under your red lipsticks.
Dusty Rose 02 : A neutral pale pink color. On its own, it’s a little light for my wheatish complexion but I love wearing it under all my neutral soft pink lipsticks. For those with lighter skintones, it could be a really pretty natural pink lip color.
Brick red is super pigmented and gives an opaque and rich finish to the lips. Dusty rose is semi opaque but with a few swipes you can get a full coverage even if you have pigmented lips.
These are creamy pencils and glide on easily on lips without tugging or pulling.
The staying power for brick red on its own is good 7 hours + Dusty Rose worn on its own has stayed around 5 hours one me. Mostly I wear these two under lipsticks and these make a very good base.
These do not dry out the lips at all. They have a matte finish and a very comfortable wear.
There is absolutely no taste or fragrance to these lip liners, which is BRILLIANT.
These are square shaped sharpen-able pencils, just like the eyeliner. These come with a sharpener, which is amazing. The sharpener has a cap that holds all the shaven wood and that prevents a lot of mess.
The only drawback is that the tip breaks sometimes while sharpening or while applying. So I have gotten used to using these with rather less pressure because honestly, these pencils are soooo good that your heart breaks when the tip breaks. 😛
Overall, if given a chance I’d buy these in every single color. These are that good lip pencils. I am totally addicted to these. 😀 Super highly recommended. 🙂
