I usually do not like to invest in costlier ones as you need to toss them out after 3 months. I recently picked this from Catrice and today’s review is all about Catrice Cosmetics Rock Couture Extreme Volume 24h Lifestyle Proof Mascara. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Catrice Rock Couture Extreme Volume Mascara Lifestyleproof 24H:

The mascara comes in a black plastic case. The product comes unsealed which is a bummer. The package itself is uber cool and I love it! It has silver highlights on it with some basic information and the cap is designed with ridges. The package is pretty big comparatively and contains 12 ml of the product. The screw cap contains the wand. The cap closes well and there is no chance of any leakage and this makes the product very travel-friendly.

The product is black and is well pigmented. It has a weird smell to it which I am not fond of and this makes it feel a little synthetic. The product is semi-thick and this ensures good application. The wand is perfect and eases the application of the mascara. The brush is rubbery and has a lot of short, straight bristles. The brush length is comparatively longer.

Even though there are a lot of bristles, it doesn’t pick up a lot of product and picks up only how much is necessary. Due to which there is no clumping issue. One sweep with this brush coats the mascara evenly on the lashes without any issues. It also covers the hair on the inner eyes without any issue. The product separates the eyelashes and separates them creating a fuller effect.

It also adds a little bit of length to the hair. While coating the lash, it also helps in curling the lashes to a certain extent. Two coats of this mascara give a good finish. You can go on with another coat for a dramatic voluminous finish. The mascara, when applied on the lashes, is lightweight and I hardly feel it. It dries pretty quickly and doesn’t cause any issues or irritation to the eyes.

The product doesn’t smudge or flake off which is great. I have a tendency to touch my eyes often and this helps in getting off the product slower. The product stays on my lashes for around 10 hours without any change and after which the lashes start to sag down a little. I, however, remove it and don’t wait to check the 24-hour claim. The product is also waterproof, which is great and you can go with full lashes to the beach or swimming pool and not be bothered about panda eyes.

The product is also easy to remove with any oil based cleansers. Overall, I love the mascara it provides amazing volume and definition to my eyes. One of the negatives I have about the product is the fact that it contains synthetic beeswax which could be the reason for the awful smell and also it contains SLS.
