Skin Tone- Medium, NC42, warm undertones
Moving on with the Chambor madness, this is the review on the shade 481. I find this shade to be slightly tricky as it would flatter only a bunch of skin tones. Read on to more on the particular shade.
Price – Rs 845/- for 6ml
A long lasting transfer proof liquid lipstick with a smooth sensorial feel and a creamy matte finish. Its extreme matte coverage provides a deep intense color in just one stroke. To remove use “Chambor Eye And Lip Makeup Remover”.
My Experience with Chambor Extreme Wear 481 Transferproof Liquid Lipstick:
Starting with the packaging, I have to say I like the simplicity of it. It would have been great if there were names to the shades because now you have to remember the shade number and corresponding shade. Though the body is see-through but addition of name is always welcome. I find the applicator quite user friendly but if you have very thin lips you have to be a bit careful. Description and ingredients are mentioned on the outer paper carton.
The texture of the lip color is very smooth and lightweight. It is very pigmented and one swipe covers every bit of the lip pigmentation, if any. I really like how it does not cake up or just sit on the lips like a sticky lacquer. It seems just like your own lips. I would definitely suggest a lip balm underneath to avoid feeling dry after a while. Also it would be nice if you scrub the lips to form an even base for the color.
The shade 481 is a mix of beige and peach which washes out my skin tone. If you are NC 35 or lighter, this might be a great shade to pair with smoky eyes and bold blushes. I am not too fond of such “wash out” n*de shades and hence would give it a pass. There is nothing wrong with the formulation, so if you like such shades go ahead and buy it.
Coming to the staying power, I have to admit it was a pain to remove it. It stayed on my lips till the time I removed it with a makeup remover. Once set, it does not move or smudge a bit. Taking it off would require an oil based makeup removers, else you might end up tugging and pulling your lips. It does not leave back any stain if removed with oil.
Overall I would say, Chambor did a pretty decent job. I would have loved to see more fun colors in the range as most of them are more towards neutral. Though the price tag is a bit high yet, you get a good amount of the product and a real long wearing formula, so the price is justified.
