We are never tired of black kohls…I mean I am not. Though this is not a new product, I somehow missed picking it up all this time. Being a fan of smoky eyes, I got this Intense Kohl by Chambor. Read on to know how it fared for me.
Price: Rs 645/- for 1.2gm
Deep black colour to create intensely smoky eyes. Velvety soft feel, matte & smoky finish. Water proof, last all day.
My Experience with Chambor Smoky Eyes Intense Kohl:
It is a simple black pencil which has to be sharpened, pretty much for every usage. The outer paper box contains all the information regarding the product. it does not come with a sharpener but any cosmetic sharpener works just as fine.
The pencil is super pigmented and smooth both on the water line and on the lids. One stroke of the pencil deposits rich dark black color to the eyes. Being super soft and creamy, it has to be sharpened to get the sharp tip for lining the eyes.
The unique thing about the kohl is that it gives a diffused look to the eyes on application. Now, maybe it is the texture of the kohl that makes it look diffused without a bit of smudging with a brush but it is something different from the regular kohls. Generally black kohl gives a stark look but this one is exceptional in this one aspect.
The staying power of the kohl is a sad story. On the waterline it stayed for 2-3 hours after which it started smudging and that too like crazy. There was product accumulation at the corners of the eyes which was so eww! On the lid the kohl stayed for 5 hours or so; after that it started flaking and creating panda eyes. I would blame it on the creaminess of the product, which does not set and hence create the mess. Was not expecting this from Chambor; they need to work on the staying power.
Pros of Chambor Smoky Eyes Intense Kohl:
• Gives a diffused look.
• Intense pigmentation.
• Good for smoky eyes.
Cons of Chambor Smoky Eyes Intense Kohl:
• Smudges like crazy.
• Flakes off.
• Poor staying power.
• Expensive for the performance.
IMBB Rating – 2.5/5
