China Glaze Angel Wings
Hey there!

My mom suddenly went on a tirade today, telling me to stop using Chinese makeup products. I looked at her incredulously and asked what brought it on. Apparently she had seen my “Chinese” China Glaze nail paints and gone off on a tangent. Moms sometimes lose it without even realising it. :p
Anyway, after explaining to her that these nail paints are free of a lot of chemicals present in normal nail paints, she calmed down enough to pick up an interesting shade. The shade reminds my mom of glitter that we used in hobby crafts. So on to the review!

Packaging:
It comes in the classic China Glaze packaging. Big glass bottle with a matte black brush handle, that looks sturdy enough. The holographic glitter particles look so beautiful that I think may just end up staring at the bottle, entranced. :p

My take on the China Glaze Angel Wings Nail Lacquer
First off, please excuse that black ring on my index fingernail it’s my Voter Mark that refuses to go. I have a feeling that my nail is permanently stained and I’ll need to let the mark grow out. *sigh*
This polish is part of The China Glaze HoliGlaze Collection 2012, and is obviously has a very festive Christmas feel to it. The glitter is a mix of regular gold glitter along with holographic glitter, that gives this polish a very expensive feel.
While this polish is thicker than City Siren, it needs to be layered, and atleast 3-4 coats are required for complete opacity. Each layer adds a new dimension and gives a very textured finish that feels bumpy but looks insanely gorgeous.
But chipping is a real problem with this nail paint. Something I relaised much later, because I was too busy stroking the divine finish like a new born puppy. It’s best to top coat this nail paint to prevent chipping, because it chips like nobody’s business! My right index fingernail had a hige chip missing in just a few hours, harried enough I added a quick top coat and forgot about it. But darn! This polish is a top coat drinker. I expected a shiny layer but it was just as matte textured as before. A bit challenged, I added three more layers of a fast drying top coat wanting it to look shiny and even; but to no avail.
But this polish is gorgeous, textured and with a few minor problems. But well worth the effort!
Even after about 6-7 layers of polish, my nails look as great as always.
Pros of China Glaze Angel Wings Nail Lacquer:
1.Travel safe packaging
2. Brush doesn’t absorb that much excess product
3. Large brush provides non streaky finish
4. Holographic glitter particles make finish very pretty
5. Matte black brush handle
6. Large quantity provided
7. Without a top coat, it has a very pretty textured finish
8. Lasts for a week or so
9. All China Glaze colours are free of DBP, Toluene and added Formaldehyde.
10. Flattering festive accent nail
Cons of China Glaze Angel Wings Nail Lacquer:
1.Takes atleast 10 minutes to set completely
2. Marked up prices in India
3. Needs atleast 3-4 coats to be perfectly opaque
4. Chips without a top coat
5. Insane Top Coat drinker!
6. Not that great a colour for dark skin tones
7. In my personal opinion, might look a tad OTT on all nails
