My Experience with Christian Louboutin Velvet Matte Lip Colour – Just Nothing:
Christian Louboutin lipsticks are priced at $90 each. Rouge Louboutin Lipsticks come in black lipstick cases, and all the other shades are encased in gold.
This lipstick comes with a string attached to it, which looks a bit weird. The idea of this string is that you can wear it as a necklace, seriously! Who would wear this heavy lipstick as a neck piece? The packaging is very different from the lipsticks you will see in the market and I think that’s what you are paying for.
These lipsticks come in several different formulas – matte, sheer and silky satin. These come in a gold tube and different finishes have different packaging – matte formulations have a matte tube, sheer and silky satin have shiny tubes.This lipstick is quite heavy and feels luxe. It has a pleasant smell; it’s not overpowering, just a mild scent. The shape of the bullet is a basic slant cut. I was a bit apprehensive to apply this lipstick at first, I didn’t want to ruin my $90 dollar lipstick in any way.
Just Nothing is a neutral shade with slightly brown undertones. I think it will suit most skin tones out there. This shade belongs to the velvet matte finish. It’s a highly pigmented lipstick and glides on the lips smoothly. These don’t feather on the lips. It also feels light on the lips. This lipstick makes my lips fuller and beautiful. When applied, it has a velvety feel to it.
The color stays on the lips even after eating and drinking. This lipstick doesn’t dry your lips out. Also, it fades very evenly and leaves a beautiful stain behind. It stays put perfectly for 8 hours. Overall, I love the formula, hate the price of this lipstick. I am also not a big fan of the packaging. I also hate the fact that I would be ordering more from this range of Louboutin lipsticks since I love the formula so much.
