Hi everyone,

I was too excited about reviewing Clinique Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup and after using this foundation for quite a few times, finally the day has come. I have recently invested in a few high-end foundations and this is one of them. I have never tried a dewy, glowy foundation before because I have oily skin, but this Clinique Even Better Foundation looked pretty promising and I could not resist myself. Read this detailed review to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Clinique Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup:

Packaging: The product comes in a classic Clinique paper carton with all details mentioned on it. The foundation comes in a short, flat tube with a pointed tip opening and a silver cap. It is a very hygienic packaging and small enough to fit in your bag. The cap closes tightly and thus it is travel friendly too.

Shade: Clinique foundation comes in a variety of shades but not all of them have been launched in India. I was matched to the shade WN114 Golden according to the Sephora color coding, but as the shade was not available, I opted for “WN112 Ginger,” which is a little lighter and more warm than golden. As this is sheer, it is not a big issue. It does not oxidize and looks super natural on the skin if you get a shade that is close to your skin tone. It also does not show up as white cast in your pictures even though it has SPF.

Texture: The foundation has a thin, but not too runny consistency. It is 100% blendable and spreads smoothly and evenly, even on dry skin. Two drops of this foundation is enough to cover my entire face. If you have perfect skin, you can just use that. I added two drops extra to conceal spots and get a little more coverage. The second layer went well too and blended into the skin. It never looks layered or patchy. It does not look cakey either. It looks very natural and great top add glow to your skin everyday.

Coverage: According to the website, it is a sheer to medium coverage foundation, but as it is buildable and never looks layered, you can use it for some more coverage. I concealed my under eye and ugly acne scars with it and it covered everything and did not fade away either. You can also cover your flaws with a concealer and apply foundation over it to get a more natural finish.

Finish: It definitely makes my skin glow. It blurs imperfections and gives a soft, fresh look that anyone will love. It keeps my skin hydrated and never highlights dry patches. If you have dry, matured skin, you can wear it anytime, anywhere. It also added a beautiful glow on my super oily, sweaty skin. Now as I bought it and have used it in summer, I always take a precaution. I apply a little loose powder over my primer to control the oil. When I apply just two drops, it does not look excessively shiny, but when I go for two layers, it looks a little shinier than what I love. I set that with some translucent powder again and then it looks perfect. Actually, setting this product with a little powder is a must, otherwise, it wouldn’t be transferproof, but that may not be required if you have very dry skin. You can actually try it to find that out. It gives a soft, dewy finish without looking excessively sleek and patchy. Even without powder, it does not melt or fade. I am sure it will perform amazingly well in winter days. I have never had any breakouts after using this, which is a great thing for me.

Staying Power: It stayed intact for 5-6 hours without any fixing spray, which I think is perfect considering my skin type. I remove it with any gentle cleansing water.

Overall, I am super happy with my first dewy foundation. I think I will save it for the winters to get the best, soft looks.
