Some products come with their own USP and Clinique came up with this “Intense” range, and I had to try stuff from them. I got two shades of “Quickliner for lips” and here are my thoughts on the shade “09 Intense Jam.”

My Experience with Clinique Quickliner For Lips Intense – 09 Intense Jam:
The outer paper carton, as you can see, is typical of Clinique. The pencil is a twist-up one, which sadly does not twist back in. The body is color coded but the cap is grey. All the details about the product are mentioned on the outer paper carton. It is a simple and sophisticated packaging, as expected of Clinique. The only glitch is, you would never know how much product is left inside, and end up lining half a lip, and would realize suddenly that it’s all gone…hihi!
The texture of the liner is not super creamy. I think that is justified as lip liners are meant to stay in place and hold the lip color. If it is too creamy, it will not serve the purpose altogether. The liner glides pretty well on the lips without tugging/pulling and gives intense pigmentation in a single swipe. One swipe is enough to cover pigmented lips.
The shade “Intense Jam” is a lovely magenta pink and a very wearable shade, in my opinion. It adds the right pop of color on the lips without making it look over the top. It is bright and muted at the same time; so you can just apply this and mascara and walk out of the door.
Considering the texture and pigmentation, I wear it as a matte lip color and there is no problem whatsoever. People with very dry lips might need some balm on top after a couple of hours.
The staying power is pretty good. With mini meals in between, it stays on for 5-6 hours with minimal fading at the center. It is water resistant but cannot survive a full meal just by itself. Touch-up is necessary after a proper meal.
Overall, these liners from Clinique are super pigmented and intense, just as the name suggests, but the hefty price tag is definitely a deterrent. Also, the shade is not unique and there are a lot of similar shades available at better prices in the beauty world.

I like the formula and texture of Clinique lipsticks. This is worth trying but is bit expensive!
