My Experience with Clinique SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid for Face
So I had these two lovely sunscreens from Clinique Mineral sunscreen range. One for boy and one for the face. I packed them with me to Seychelles for a week long vacation. And I came back with the worst suntan I have ever come back from any vacation. Worst. I did every possible post tan DIY that is there on IMBB to get rid of tan. In a way I’d say it is my fault as well because SPF 30 is too less for a beachy location. I over trusted these sunscreens and I am utterly disappointed. The only thing they probably protected me was from a sunburn. I am really thankful for that.
Clinique Mineral Sunscreen comes packed in this cutie little white bottle with white cap. It has a thin nozzle that helps prevent control the amount of product. It is almost weightless and makes for a great travel companion. The sunscreen is in thin liquid form. It does not have any fragrance to it. It does not leave any whitish cast behind, which makes it absolutely fabulous for day to day wear. It adds a light dewiness to the skin but it does not feel heavy or thick on the skin at all. You don’t need a lot of product of this in one go.  It also does not make you sweaty unlike a lot of sunscreens. It does not have any fragrance to it, which is great. It did not break me out. It is allergy tested as well.
After using almost 3/4 of the full bottle, all I can say is that it is a fantastic everyday sunscreen. Something that you’d want to wear only as a skincare product to prevent yourself from day-to-day sun damage. It has both UVA and UVB sun protection. But it would give you the least amount of protection if you want to protect yourself from sun tanning. This same sunscreen also comes in SPF50 range. Honestly, I wouldn’t even take a chance with it. I much prefer Vichy Suncreen or even Lotus sunscreens that have fared so much better during my travels. In high end range, I love the Clarins Sunscreen.  This is just a happy sunscreen that I’d finish using while I am still in Delhi. This sunscreen can be used for all skin types. It is oil free.
PS : This is a mineral sunscreen (it contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) and they give kickass protection against the sun because they give your protection against both UVA and UVB rays of the sun. If you really love Clinique and want a sunscreen only from them, totally go for it. Just take a better one (SPF 50) to the beach.
