My Experience with Colorbar Elegant Emphaseyes Eye Shadow:
Packaging: The eyeshadow is packed in a silver paper carton like all other Colorbar products. There is a transparent window on the top of the box that allows you to spot the color inside. The shade name and ingredients are also mentioned. The product comes in a round plastic pan with a transparent lid that shuts with a click.
It is definitely a very travel-friendly packaging. However when used, the shimmery, powdery product may move to the outer rim, making it a little messy. Make sure to dust away that before putting it inside the purse. No applicator or mirror is provided with it. Also, there is no applicator or mirror provided and for an expensive eyeshadow like this, a mirror was somewhat expected.
Color/Pigmentation/Texture: This is a gorgeous rich pink shade with golden shimmer in it. The fine shimmers are evenly distributed and blend with the colour to add the glam factor to your eye makeup. Your eyes will definitely look very defined and prominent when you use this shadow. This can be your perfect choice for a party makeup as it will brighten up the eyes instantly and people will surely notice your makeup. The product has a smooth, powdery texture.
It blends effortlessly even when you are not applying any base makeup or primer. I apply it on bare lids using my fingertips for experiment and it shows the same results. Layering the product never leads to creasing although layering is never required. The pigmentation is very intense. A single swipe can cover the entire lid. Actually the colour intensity is better when I use it with my finger tips. You should apply a little at a time as you may end up using more product than required.
Staying Power: Without any base makeup or primer, it stays on for 5-6 hours, after which it fades a little. I tried washing it with water and although it reduced the colour intensity, the water cannot take it off completely. It is definitely water and oil proof which makes it an ideal choice for long-lasting makeup looks.
With proper priming and base makeup, this will surely last for as long as needed. You can use an oil-based makeup remover to remove all the colour and shimmers in a sweep without making it messy. I also applied it in the lower lid and it seems perfect for sensitive eyes too.
