ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips can be counted as one of my all-time favourite lipstick formulas. Today, I will be reviewing ColourPop Ultra Satin in the shade “Stud.” So, let’s see how this lipstick fared.

Product Description:
High pigmentation and a satin-matte finish in liquid lipstick form to keep your lips soft and comfy all day long. Warm brown terracotta. A creamy, bold lipstick with a satin finish. This formula has the same high percentage of pigments as an Ultra Matte Lip but contains emollient ingredients for added moisture, keeping lips looking fresh and feeling super comfortable. Though this lipstick is super long-wearing, it is not completely kiss-proof and does transfer.
Step One – Start with freshly exfoliated lips! Prime your lips with our Lippie Primer for increased longevity and smoother application!
Step Two – Line your lips with a matching Lippie Pencil; this will help you achieve the perfect finished look and give the appearance of fuller lips.
Step Three – Apply your Ultra Satin Lip in a thin layer for most comfortable wear.

My Experience with ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip Stud:

Packaging: The packaging is a standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side – ColourPop Ultra Satin. The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe foot type. Overall, the packaging is lightweight and travel friendly.

Texture and Application: The texture of this liquid lipstick is bit mousse-y and liquid-y. The main difference between ultra-matte and ultra-satin is that the ultra-satins don’t dry completely matte. It dries velvety matte within a few minutes once applied on the lips, so if there are any errors during applying, you can easily correct it. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a chemical fragrance to the lipstick which personally doesn’t bother me. Another major difference between the ultra-matte and ultra-satin is that the latter does not give kiss-proof or budge-proof finish. It does transfer a lot; however, it is very long lasting. It is advisable to exfoliate your lips for flawless finish. The ultra-satin do not dry your lips and give a smooth finish. They are the most comfortable liquid lipsticks out there.

Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a ‘terracotta brown’ and it is indeed a very stunning warm-toned brownish terracotta shade. This colour will complement all Indian skin tones. The lip colour is a perfect fall lip colour. When you first apply the lipstick, it will be of satiny finish; however, it turns matte as the time passes by. You can also blot it with paper if you need an instant matte lip look.

Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.

Staying Power: The staying power is really good, it stays on for around 6 hours without the need to reapply; however, it will start to fade if you eat oily meals. It does stain my lips pink.

Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
