The story of Nantucket Briar®
Abundant and aromatic, the wild briar rose adorns weathered cottage doorways and fog-filled harbours on Nantucket. But the “Grey Lady” (so-named for her oft misty shores) has an exotic side, too. For centuries, ships from around the world landed on her shores with rare spices and oils.

Our Nantucket Briar Collection is an eclectic mix of on-island ingredients and imports from afar. Scents of peony, wild rose and ambergris get a refreshing boost from the citrusy fragrance of bergamot. Meanwhile, notes of vanilla, patchouli and exotic spices add a proper dose of the unexpected.

I turned into a huge fan of this brand once Rati introduced it to us and my sister gifted me a set of these nantucket briar collection, then hubby spotted this store here in Chennai EA mall and it was like a great feeling, the vintage feel to its products is just drool worthy. The store smells and looks awesome, and there are delightful vintage floral gift set boxes and shaving boxes for men and what not, hence I look forward to visiting the store often, they are great with service too and hand out sachets of nice lotions for you to try, of course I keep the sachets for travel purposes.

I fell  in love with the hand cream and soap from the same range then I thought of finally taking out this jar of body lotion and it smells exactly of heavenly roses as did the hand cream. The consistency is perfect and it is not at oily but the grease factor is just right for all skin types I feel. It smells heavily of roses.

Now this is more like my pamper me on travel time kind of jar and I havent been using it lavishly, this is ideal for flights for me when I really want to smell fresh as well as carry a simple and effective bottle of lotion. The lotion is absorbed well, it takes it sweet time so that you can enjoy the roses, and once done, it keeps my normal body skin well hydrated. No complaints, but I think dry skin would like it too but explore the other range for dry skin, I say.

The best part is that the fragrance of roses stays one for an hour, and fades to a softer citrus scent for another hour, and on the hands,it is marvelous. Even after you wash lightly, the hands stay soft and smell fab and hence this brand is a total winner for me, I really think I would keep one lotion from them rather than collecting ten other lotions. This lotion is simply awesome rosy one with proper hydration, no complaints whatsoever!
