My Experience with Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro Colour Sweet Emotion:

I have been using Deborah Lippmann nail polishes for almost two years now and find them quite result oriented. I have also used their gel lab pro series and find it one of the best and healthy polish for my nails. You can check out my review here. This time, I picked the variant “Sweet Emotion”. It is a beautiful shade, which is described as a full coverage vintage rose cream.

It comes packaged in a glass bottle with a black coloured screw on cap which has a brush attached. This bottle is packed in a sturdy plastic box. Packaging can be termed travel-friendly. Sweet emotion is a classic dark coloured dusty rose shade with creamy consistency and gives high shine finish to my nails. I am in love with this shade. I personally prefer Deborah Lippmann gel lab pro polish since it is packed with ten active ingredients; biotin, green tea extract, accoumed, evening primrose, keratin, nonychosine F, which helps maintain healthy nails, while silk fibres and plexiglass gives a shiny finish and platinum powder and epoxy resin makes the polish last longer.

This shade gives full coverage in one coat. I prefer to apply two coats for an opaque finish to my nails. The brush is kept flat on one side, which enables easy and smooth application. Rounded tip allows precise application and extra bristles enables a streak free finish.

This shade stays on my nails for three days, without chipping or soiling. This colour suits my pigmented fingers. In my opinion, this shade will definitely suit all skin tones from cool to warm. It can be used for daily wear or special occasions.

Deborah Lippmann has mentioned in one of her audio clips that these polishes have biotin and green tea and all the ingredients included in her gel pro lab manicure base and top coat. Hence, in my opinion one can skip using a base or top coat while using this gel pro polish. In fact, that’s what I do! However, using a base and top coat does give additional benefits like maintaining the health of the nails and the polish will last much more longer.
