My Experience with Dolce and Gabbana The Blush Brush:

Natural goat hair is packaged in a sleek golden-colored metal holder with a matte black colored wooden handle. Dolce and Gabbana is inscribed in golden font on one side of the handle and “face” on the other side. The bristles are very soft and the brush is light in weight. Packaging looks and feels luxurious to hold. The brush comes packed in a thin plastic cover which in turn comes ina black colored cardboard box. It’s travel friendly if you carry the brush in the cardboard box or brush pouch that has been provided.

Dolce and Gabbana The Blush Brush

I picked two face makeup brushes from Dolce and Gabbana, one of which is this blush brush that I am reviewing today. Made from absolute natural goat hair, the texture is soft and smooth. The bristles are kept a bit long and the round-shaped head enables smooth and precise application. However, the bristles are not very closely or densely packed, but that’s not an issue.

It picks the right amount of blush powder from the pan, applies smoothly and enables easy blending and building of the makeup on my cheeks as desired. Bristles are soft and do not scratch or hurt my sensitive skin. Bristles do not hold on to the makeup, if brushed off nicely after use and does not change colour. I have used this brush only for applying powder blush and dry makeup.

I have washed it twice and only a hair or two has shed. The brush does not lose shape or texture even after washing. The bristles come back to their normal shape and texture after drying. I directly spray my Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser on the bristles and then wipe the bristles with a wet tissue or wet wipes and leave the brush to dry.

I have not washed it under running tap water since this tends to weaken the brush handle and loosen the grip. From one or two previous bitter experiences, I no longer use running water to cleanse my makeup brushes. I use still water in a bowl or wet tissue, to cleanse off the residue on the brushes. However, this blush brush is a good brush, nothing extraordinary and equally good brushes are available cheaper price options. However, I have very sensitive skin and hence wanted to invest in a good brand and it delivers what it promises 🙂

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Dolce and Gabbana The Blush Brush?
Yes, I do recommend, especially for sensitive skin types, if you are willing to buy a high-end brush for this price. Equally good brushes are available at a much cheaper price. If I find something better price and quality wise, I may not repurchase!
