ELF Studio 100 Piece Eye Shadow Palette

ELF Studio 100 Piece Eye Shadow Palette

Hello companions!

I have been off from IMBB for a while and today I am back with a 100 piece eye shadow palette by Eyes Lips Face cosmetics. I hardly get a chance to put on eye make-up; I wear specs, often running late and not so good at EOTD’s! So I don’t own a one single eye shadow till now. I invest in palettes and this one has waited quite long to be reviewed as I wasn’t getting a chance to use them and they looked so neatly and beautifully packed that I regretted opening them. But finally, here I am with review of ELF Studio 100 Piece Eye Shadow Palette. The pictures will define it more than my words. Let’s see how this turned out to be.

Product description:

Become your own makeup artist with our amazing Professional Eyeshadow Palette from the luxurious Studio line of cosmetics. In this complete Makeup Artist Eyeshadow Set, you’ll find everything to go from dark & smoky eyes to fresh & bright, to totally funky looks, thanks to the 100 eyeshadow colours in every set.

Price tag:

£15 in UK and $10 in USA. This is a hell of a cost difference and the USA based company sale the cosmetics at a much higher price in Europe. I got the UK made version. Net Weight: 90g

Talc, Mica, Zinc Stearate, Kaolin, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Petrolatum, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, MethylParaben, Propylparaben. My take on ELF Studio 100 Piece Eye Shadow Palette:

The packaging: As I always say, ELF takes special care in packing the products and the followed the same rule in this case too. The palette looks really beautiful in card-box with transparent upper cover. When I opened and hold it in hands, I realized the actual palette case is of cheap plastic and looks fragile and of low quality. I am quite disappointed because I expected something better, it isn’t that low priced for a cheap packaging I guess. Anyways, the plastic cover displays all the 100 colours, organized chronically in shade series in 10×10 columns in small rectangular pans. A small mirror and two very small sponge applicators are included.

Texture and finish:

The texture of the eye shadows is really soft with velvety smooth feel. They are finely milled and non-gritty. Few shades are soft to such extent that a forceful or rough stroke of applicator breaks chunks from the surface. Because of this, you will observe some fallout in the pan and while applying them on eye lids. The palette includes a total diversity; it has matte, satin and shimmery shades. Hence the finish varies from shade to shade. I love the satin ones most.

The dark colours are richly pigmented, the medium have good and light shades have a decent pigmentation .I couldn’t find more than 2-3 shades that were poor in pigmentation.

Shade range:

Shade range is wide and versatile. You will find sun set oranges, pumpkin yellows, deep sea blues, sparkly silvers, ash greys, charcoal blacks, forest greens, peacock blues, glittery golden, sober browns, natural neutrals and few shades of girly pinks.

I haven’t been able to wear the all day long but as far as I observed, they last for 3 hours in full bloom, then fade slightly and get a bit here and there.

Pros of ELF Studio 100 Piece Eye Shadow Palette:

• Sleek palette, travel friendly.
• Contains a diversity of matte, satin and shimmery shades.
• A hundred versatile shade palette.
• Soft and smooth texture of all shadows.
• All shades blend easily and do not crease.
• Shades are not chalky.
• Decent staying time.
• Fairly priced for 100 colors.
• Contains all possible shades for eye makeup lovers.
• More than 90 shades have very good pigmentation except few light ones.

Cons of ELF Studio 100 Piece Eye Shadow Palette:

• Contains Parabens.
• Packaging plastic’s quality is not upto the mark; looks and feels cheap.
• Few shades are too soft and chunks break if brush applied with pressure.

IMBB rating:

Parabens got 0.5 marks deducted straight away!

Recommendation & repurchase of ELF Studio 100 Piece Eye Shadow Palette:

Yes fellows, I do recommend this palette, specifically to beginners and those who lover creating eye looks frequently and want to experiment within budget. For my repurchase, this one is going to last me long. Let me finish this first.
