Yes, I picked up another oud fragrance 😛 and I don’t regret the purchase! Elie Saab Essence No. 4 Oud has been on my wishlist for a very long time now and finally I got my hands on it. Essence by Elie Saab is one of the premium perfume ranges by Elie Saab and I wanted to try one fragrance from the range and it had to be an oud perfume, so here is the review on essence No. 4

My Experience with Elie Saab Essence No 4 Oud Eau de Parfum:

Elie Saab Essence No. 4 comes housed in a transparent bottle with name of perfume and brand name printed on it. The packing is simple and classy.

If you are looking for an oud fragrance that is not too strong and not too mild, then you might like this. Essence No. 4 is a very unique and beautiful fragrance that is perfect for males as well as females.

On first application, there is a very light oud note with a slightly spicy tone. After 30 minutes of application, the fragrance translates into a very beautiful woody and sweet fragrance. As it dries down, there is a very soft, creamy, sweet, woody oud scent which is a very unique combo. Generally, oud fragrances are very dark, intense, but this particular fragrance is very unique, fresh and beautiful.

The sillage is not very strong, but very intimate. You can smell it and a person sitting next to you can smell it, but not any further than that. I generally need 4 sprays of this to make it noticeable on me. Essence No. 4 is more of a day-time appropriate perfume and is perfect for both summer and winter seasons. This is a classy, sophisticated and elegant fragrance but not too much in your face. Some people prefer very mild, soft fragrance and this is one of them.

This lasted for about 12 hours on me. After that, I could smell it, but it was very very mild, but I don’t mind that because I don’t go out for more than 8 to 9 hours and this perfume did the job for me. Yes, it’s an expensive perfume but it’s definitely different than other oud perfumes that I have and it’s basically one of its kind.
