Elle 18 recently launched the ‘Color Pops Matte Lipsticks’ range in India with 20 beautiful shades and I picked 9. Today’s review is going to be on the shade ‘Choco Bite’. Currently I am in the mood to try new shades and that’s why I picked up this beautiful brown shade for me. Read on for more details.

My Experience with Elle 18 Choco Bite Color Pops Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: Elle 18 matte lipstick comes in a cute black plastic packaging with a cute face printed on the cap. But I prefer a color coded packaging to easily identify them. The cute tube is easy to carry around. But, the twist mechanism isn’t very sturdy. Otherwise, I really like this super affordable cute girly packaging.
Shade and pigmentation: ‘Choco Bite’ is a beautiful chocolate brown shade with a soft natural tone. It looks like that you have put dairy milk on your lips. It is such a pretty warm brown shade which goes well with any skin tone. Maybe it is not for teenagers but this is a nice chocolate shade that can be tried by all age groups. I think it is a pretty daily wear shade. The shade is easy to carry and it looks natural on lips. It doesn’t contain any shimmer in it. Also, the shade is decently pigmented and needs maximum two swipes for the true color pay off. It can hide pigmented lips.
Texture and quality: It has a soft smooth texture that glides evenly on the lips. This is more of a creamy matte lipstick which leaves a nice velvety matte texture on lips. Its non-drying finish keeps the lips soft and moisturized for long, but after a few hours, it settles down to a nice matte stain. It never makes my lips dry or patchy. It is really a hydrating lipstick which doesn’t highlight dry patches. Although it is a matte lipstick, it does transfer a lot, but it doesn’t mess around lip area. It never creases or settles in fine lines.
Staying power: It stays nicely around 5 hours which is quite impressive for a normal lipstick. After 3-4 hours, it starts to fade but does not look bad at all. It can’t survive heavy lunch, but can survive normal snacks. After a few hours it leaves a nice stain but the stain doesn’t show that much on my medium skin tone. It is also easy to remove with a remover wipe.
Overall: Considering the price it does its job beautifully and stays nice on lips. I am enjoying everything about this lipstick range. This is a beautiful brown; actually it adds a nice flattering look on me.
