Today I am going on a small trip to my masi ji’s house. Well, I don’t like to travel even a bit in the summers and I know it’s going to be a really tough journey for me. Okay, let’s start the review now.
Electrified eyes… the popular mono eyeshadows ensure color highlights on your eyelids and are sure to give all girls that extra-special added touch.

My Experience with Essence Absolutely Nature Mono Eyeshadow:
Packaging: The shadow comes in a pocket sized rounded pan. The whole container is completely transparent including the lid and the shadow sits in a steel pan inside it. One can easily look at the shade easily in case you have many of these. The lid shuts tightly with a click. There are some beautiful patterns embossed in the shadow. One can find the shade name, ingredients at the bottom of the container. Overall, the packaging looks cute and is sturdy and easy to carry.
Shade: Absolutely Nature is a matte, neutral, brownish taupe color. The shade is really subtle and is ideal to be used as a transition or crease color for a neutral and smokey eyed look as well. One can also use this single color on the whole eyelids. The shade can be worn on daily basis and is suitable for every complexion.
Texture and Pigmentation: The eyeshadow is hard pressed one. It has a smooth and pearly texture to it. It applies and blends effortlessly on the eyelids. Because of the smooth texture of the eyeshadow, there is very minimal or no fall out during application. The shadow gets easily picked on brushes. But, as the shade is very subtle one will need to swipe the brush multiple times in order to get noticeable color on eyelids. The eye shadow gives a nice matte with slightly pearly sheen finish.
The shadow is poorly pigmented; there is no color pay-off in one or two swipes. And, being a neutral color it doesn’t show up properly on the eyelids. But, the color is very buildable; the intensity of the shadow can be increased with multiple swipes and then it shows up perfectly on the lids. The eyeshadow doesn’t turn cakey upon layering, nor does it creases.
Staying Power: The wear time for this shade is really low; without primer it lasted on my eyelids for 1.5 hours or so. And, with a primer base underneath, it lasted for just more than 3 hours and then it goes away quickly when I rubbed my eyes.
Pros of Essence Absolutely Nature Mono Eyeshadow:
• A lovely neutral brownish taupe color.
• Will suit every skin tone.
• The finish is matte to slightly pearly.
• Very smooth and soft to touch.
• No fallout; application is very clean.
• Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.
• Pigmentation is very easily buildable.
• Applies and blends very easily.
Cons of Essence Absolutely Nature Mono Eyeshadow:
• Low pigmentation, but is buildable.
• Being a very subtle color, it doesn’t show up on the lids properly.
• Very low staying power, even with primer base.
• Some may find the packaging cheap.
• The shadow is hard pressed.
2/5 for the pigmentation part and 3.8/5 for the lovely neutral color.
Will I Recommend Essence Absolutely Nature Mono Eyeshadow?
If you like the shade and don’t have any such shades already in your stash, you can definitely go for it. I think everyone should have such kind of brownish taupe shade in their collection. You can use the shade alone and as well as a crease color to blend with other shade for a neutral or smokey eye look.
