My Experience with Essence Stays No Matter What 24h Volume Mascara:
Packaging: Most people pick up Essence mascaras solely on the attractive packaging! While most brands have classy black or metallic body for their mascaras, Essence totally nails it with quirky fonts and bright colors. This mascara comes in a lemon yellow tube and has major details written on it. It shuts tightly and has no risk of accidentally opening up.
Firstly, I am not the best person to judge mascaras. Reason? I am not a fan of dramatic volume or length. Only once in a blue moon, I use a volumizing mascara. Most days, I apply mascara for the natural fluttery lashes. The W7 Flirty eyes mascara fits my bill perfectly, giving me clean, curled and crisp look. I didn’t have great expectations from this mascara since Essence mascaras are either hits or misses.
Let’s talk about the wand first. It’s similar to Maybelline Colossal Mascara, sturdy and dense enough to pick the right amount of product. The good thing is that it doesn’t pick a lot of product at one go, so I don’t have messy eyes. It is decently pigmented, a dark black if not a jet intense black. The texture is moderately thick and easy to apply. It doesn’t accumulate on lids or clump lashes. I detest mascaras which clump my lashes, so this one seemed good.
The mascara does a good job of separating the lashes, giving you instantly bigger eyes. Slight volume addition is definitely there, but I like the fact that it lengthens my lashes with a touch of curling. The result is very natural; beautiful lashes but not prominent whether makeup has been used to enhance them. This kind of mascara if perfect for regular wear, where dramatic volume would not be suitable.
This is not a “party wear” mascara, as the volume is too humble compared to some amazing ones like Inglot False Lash Effect. You can certainly build up to a decent volume with more coats and till 3-4 coats you won’t find any clumping. A significant pro of this mascara is that it doesn’t feel heavy on my lashes even with multiple coats and doesn’t harden my lashes.
It is long staying and waterproof, I have gone out swimming with this and there weren’t even black smudges around my eyes, although the volume is reduced to an extent. So, whether you are watching tearjerkers or rubbing your eyes, be assured you won’t end up with panda eyes. Removal is a tad bit difficult, since simple water based removers or cleansing tissues can’t remove it. Use powerful cleansing oils or oil based eye makeup removers.
I am loving using this on a day to day basis, and will recommend it if you like natural looking light fluttery eyes.

Life is too boring to stick to particular mascara for long, so might not repurchase, even if it fits my bills. But if clean-looking, longer and not-so-dramatic lashes are what you want, definitely pick this up.
