My Experience with Etude House Collagen Eye Patch:
The night before, I used this product. I did not get much sleep, and my eyes were burning. So, I decided to use this product on that particular day to clearly see the effectiveness of the product.
The product comes in a small matte light pink packaging featuring a girl doll with bright puppy eyes. Inside the package, the patches actually come enclosed in a transparent case. On opening it, the patches can be found inside with overflowing serum. It really was very messy to open and separate the patches. The serum inside was not dripping. But they felt sticky on my fingers.
The patches have another transparent film and after peeling them, I placed them on my under eye area. The patches were made up of cotton sheet that one could find it similar to basic sheet masks. But, they had a slippery feel to it. But, after placing on the under eye area, it did not move or slip or fall off. I didn’t have to lie down. I kept moving around, and it stayed in position. The patch did not have any smell. The serum was also transparent.
After placing them on my under area, the patch felt just wet immediately, and nothing more. After a few minutes, it started to soothe and cool down that area. It was an extremely good feeling because there was a need for this product that day. As per instructions, I placed them for a good 20 minutes and then removed it. Even after 20 minutes, it still had moisture in it. So, I gently tapped it with a single finger onto my eyelids, which really helped my tired eyes.
Also, my eyes looked fresh, which was a bonus. Other than relieving my tired eyes, it did not do much for the dark circles and also for the few fine lines I have. These benefits always come with long-time and consistent usage, which I did not do.
I used it just once and the effects were minimal. And, for these minimal effects, I would be happy using a chilled cotton pad with rose water.
Pros of Etude House Collagen Eye Patch:
• Effective in soothing and relieving the tired eyes
• Has plenty of serum
• Moisturized the eye area well
• The serum did not irritate my eyes even when some of it went into my eyes
Cons of Etude House Collagen Eye Patch:
• Skin felt a bit tacky after use
• The serum does not get absorbed fully into the skin
• The benefits are minimal and the product is definitely not an irreplaceable one
