Faces Metaliglow Review

Faces Metaliglow Review

Hi Everyone,

I am the newest member of IMBB and this is my first review for IMBB, so kindly excuse me for my mistakes.  Since I don’t get Faces products in my city, I was happy when I saw the Faces counter recently when I visited Bangalore.  I have been reading many rave reviews of this brand on IMBB and so wanted to have something from this brand.  I decided to go for the eye primer since I did not have any (except for the Garnier Tinted Roll On).

Faces Metaliglow Review

When the SA was showing me the eye primer, I saw this cute bottle!

Product Description:

European award-winning lightly textured lotion flowing with iridescent shimmer. A product so inimitable it has a dual performance. Due to its quick setting, non-smudging capabilities it is a necessity for all eye shadow wearers. Voted Top Eye Primer by FACES customers, this product extends, intensifies and holds eye shadow, allowing eyes to look runway perfect all day long! Prevents eye shadow from creasing. Apply to eye lids before applying eye shadow or wear alone for a veil of color wherever desired. Metaliglow can also be used alone or mix it with your favorite lotion and use it all over your face and body to highlight, shimmer and create a sun-kissed bronzed look for a sexier you!

Rs. 499 for 15 ml.

Shelf Life:

3 years (I am very particular about these things, I never buy anything without seeing manufacturing and expiry date).

The website shows 4 shades.  They are labelled as shade 01, 02,03 and 04.  Shade 04 is named as Rose Gold, but I saw only 2 shades at the counter.

I had purchased a lighter shade, not sure of the shade number, but the SA packed the darker 03 shade for me by mistake, nevertheless, I am liking it.

My Take on Faces Metaliglow:

It’s a wonderful product for me.  It can be used as an eyeshadow primer as well as a bronzer.  I like to wear it alone on my eyelids and I mix it sometimes with my Maybelline BB cream for that sun-kissed look. Not many people at my place wear makeup nor do they appreciate wearing makeup.  This product helps to achieve that “non-makeup” makeup look for me.  Overall, I am in love with this product.

Pros of Faces Metaliglow:

  • A versatile product, can be used as an eye, face or body product.
  • Quite affordable for people like me who are not earning (I am joining work from tomorrow).
  • Gives subtle glow to the face (must-have for the coming wedding season).
  • I don’t wear eyeshadows often or for a long time, so I can’t really judge, but it worked well for me whenever I used it as a primer.
  • Only a small quantity is required for each use, hence the bottle will last for a long time.
  • The shimmer is not too shimmery (sorry for my limited vocabulary), therefore can be used during daytime as well as night time.
  • Great to achieve that “sun-kissed” look.
  • Full ingredients list is given.

Cons of Faces Metaliglow:

  • Contains parabens (not an issue for me).
  • Faces is not available in my city.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5 (this was how I was expecting it to be).

Do I Recommend Faces Metaliglow?

Yes, I think you should try this product, its worth trying.

Will I Repurchase Faces Metaliglow?

Maybe not. I want to try new and other innovative products from Faces and other brands.  This review is purely based on my opinion and opinion varies from person to person.

@rati: thank you for publishing my review.i have emailed you the ingredients list

  3. This would be a perfect highlighter and I think we can even mix a tiny miny drop of it into our daily moisturizer to give a nice subtle glow to face 🙂

  4. Nice review, I’ve seen this product but I thought it was some sort of cream eyeshadow! I have the smokey eyes palette from Faces, the primer in that is pretty good too 🙂

  5. there re 4 shades in metaliglow.the primer in the smoky kit is one of the lighter shade.i think 04 shade.not sure.you get metaliglow labeled as eye primer separately also.but its 400 something.you get more quantity with this.
