Skin Tone: Medium fair, warm undertones

My love for coral lip colors made me pick this lip crayon from the brand “Faces Cosmetics.” I had recently picked a few lip crayons from this range. The shade that I am going to review today is called “Lasting Kiss.” Read on further for more details on this lip crayon.

My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Lasting Kiss Starry Matte Lip Crayon:
The lip crayon comes in a nice color-coded matte finish lip crayon with black base and a clear cap. The cap fits securely making this lips crayon fit for travel purposes. Also, this lip crayon comes with a sharpener. The tip of the crayon is large enough for at least two uses.
The shade “Lasting Kiss” is a nice shade of coral. The shade is pretty but unfortunately it washes me out. This shade will flatter very fair skin tones and wash out medium to dusky skin tones. It’s a color that would look very fresh and summery on very fair skin tones. I am quite disappointed with the golden glitters present in the lip color. They feel a little gritty and chunky as well. I do not understand why they have added glitters in a matte lip crayon. The lip crayon has average pigmentation. It takes 2-3 swipes to build up the color, but layering the lipstick gives a cakey finish.
The texture of the lip crayon is smooth and almost creamy but the shimmers present in this lipstick give it a gritty texture. It feels slightly uncomfortable on the lips due to the presence of glitters. The color does not hug the lips and sits on the lips like a cakey coating. The formula is not moisturizing and dries out my lips in a few hours. The lip color settles into the fine lines of the lips after meals with a nice matte finish. It does not transfer much.
The lasting power of the lip crayon is approximately 5-6 hours, which is quite satisfactory, but the lip crayon fades unevenly with meals, with a patchy finish and then reapplication is required. It clings to the dry patches of the lips and highlights them. The color loses its intensity with time.
It’s very easy to remove this lip crayon because it does not stain the lips, but the shimmers left behind are a little difficult to remove and a good makeup remover is required to take it off completely. Overall, the velvet matte range from Faces is far better than this one.

Cons of Faces Ultime Pro Lasting Kiss Starry Matte Lip Crayon:
- Will not suit most of the Indian skin tones.
- Layering leads to cakey finish.
- Texture feels gritty and uncomfortable due to the glitters.
- Settles into the fine lines of the lips.
- Clings to dry patches.
- Not very moisturizing.
- Gets patchy after meals.
- Removal process is quite tedious to the presence of glitter.
