My Experience with Forever 21 High Shine Lip Gloss Burgundy:

This lip gloss comes in a tube with an applicator. The tube is transparent with all the details printed on it. The nozzle type applicator, however, isn’t the perfect type. You can’t really control the amount of gloss you need as you squeeze the tube.

Plus, it’s difficult to keep the liquid confined to the edges of your lips. Probably it would be better to have a tube with a doe foot applicator for precise application. It has a screw on cap, and the gloss is handy to even fit your pockets. Completely travel safe.

It’s a shame that the packaging causes woes since the product is marvellous. The color Burgundy is a deep wine shade, which would look stunning on all skin tones. For a lip gloss, its pigmentation is incredible.

It can be completely opaque if you apply it right. I take out a bit of gloss on the centre of my lips, and spread it with my index finger. That works for me as it gives a beautiful shiny color which can be easily worn during daytime.

The gloss doesn’t have shimmers, which makes it easier to wear. You can get luscious, just-kissed lips by applying a thin even layer. The texture is thick yet runny. It’s a slightly heavy liquid which can seep through the corners of your lips, so be careful during application. That’s why applying it with fingers works best.

I won’t say it’s completely transfer-proof or smudge-proof, but for a lip-gloss so affordable it has damn good performance. It can survive meals without getting wiped off completely and has a pretty tint even after you stuff a lot of food during lunch.

It is slightly sticky, but doesn’t stick your lips if you press them. Also, if you apply by spreading it out with your fingers, it feels so comfortable and lightweight on the lips. The gloss is hydrating and doesn’t require prepping up of lips. It’s easy to remove it completely with a makeup remover.

Also, I found that it works great as a cheek tint. I rub my index finger on the apple of my cheeks and it gives such a rosy flush with a subtle glow. Absolutely love it!
